ABOUT OUR COLLEGE
Mahendra Arts & Science College, started in the year 1999, conferred the "Autonomous Status" by
University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India from the academic year 2015 - 16 and under
the name MASC (Mahendra Arts & Science College).
Hauling a vision “To provide good education hybridized with a good conduct and character to the
rural based students”, Mahendra Arts and Science College is one of the top most colleges in Namakkal
district with over 2500 students. Today, Mahendra Arts & Science College is one of the most sought after
arts and science Institutions in Tamil Nadu, presumed for its highly qualified and experienced faculty and
outstanding infrastructural facilities for curricular and extracurricular activities; the college has
maintained a desirable academic excellence right from its inception. The student community
encompasses of students from all over Tamil Nadu. The college has accomplished its mission and its
academic achievements are a testimony to the same. More than 70% of students secure first class with
distinctions year after year. It has students and faculty exchange programs with leading international
companies and Multinational Organizations. The autonomous college has also received numerous
accolades and awards over the years. Our College has grown to greater height, offering 11 UG and 10 PG
courses and research facilities in all departments. Our College has become an ISO 9001:2000 and NAAC
certified institution ensuring quality education. Yet another feather has been added to the cap of
Mahendra Arts & Science College that the University Grants Commission (UGC) has recognized our
college u/s 2(f) & 12 (B) of the UGC act 1956.
INTENSIVE CARE PLACEMENT & TRAINING CELL
Mahendra Arts & Science College provides an environment that promotes not only the intellectual
but also the overall personality development to its students. Personality Development Workshops are
organized in the college for all enrolled students with a view to equip them with the necessary soft skills
required to beat the stringent selection process and emerge successfully in today's competitive world. The
students are exposed to intensive training for acquiring Communication, Motivation and Leadership Skills.
They gain essential inputs in goal setting and team building. They also undergo Case Study Analysis,
Extempore, Group Discussion and Personal Interview Session. More than 90% students of final year
undergraduate and postgraduate programs are benefited by getting placement offers from leading
Multinational Organizations during the academic year 2014 - 15. The college believes training and
placement as its key duties to every student who enrolls with the institution.
The Placement and Training cell of the college provides one and the same opportunity to all
enrolled students to:
Attend campus interviews conducted for leading companies from Chennai, Bangalore,
Hyderabad and other foremost cities throughout the country.
Do In-Plant Training
Prepare the students to excel in Aptitude Test, Case Analysis, Group Discussions and Personal
