ACTIVE, NUTRITIOUS AND CREATIVE LIFESTYLES SPRING 2017 CLASSES Creating opportunities ACTIVE AND NUTRITIOUS LIFESTYLES Fitness in the Park – Series 2 Meet your neighbours and get fit with Fitness in the Park. Hosted by local F45 Training Director Aaron Yeak, the sessions will be fun, safe, and open to all ages and abilities, from complete beginners through to the very active. Bring: A towel and water bottle Cost*: FREE for residents, Non-residents $50 for the 9 week season Venue: Cracknell Park When: Saturdays 9am to 10am, 2 September to 28 October 2017 (9 weeks) RSVP: This is a ticketed event, go to www.belmont.wa.gov.au and click on Active, Nutritious and Creative Lifestyles Spring classes to register. Places are limited so be quick. Pram Jam – Parents walking group Pram Jam is a walking group for parents and care givers. The walk is a great way to get your 30 minutes of physical activity while catching up with likeminded people in lovely Faulkner Park. The walk is self-paced and led by local volunteers. Each walk starts out the front of Ruth Faulkner Public Library. Bring: Water, wear walking shoes and prams are most welcome! Cost*: FREE Venue: Meeting at Ruth Faulkner Public Library When: Every Monday, 10.45am and 11.45am RSVP: No RSVP is required but to join the mailing list please contact the Community Wellbeing team on 9477 7454 or email, [email protected] Decluttering: all you need is less Physical health is complimented by good mental health. Decluttering isn’t only about creating more physical space in a person’s life but also about creating more mental space. Switch Your Thinking will present a workshop on decluttering, providing tips on how to re-use, re-purpose, upcycle, recycle or throw out stuff you don’t need. This session has practical strategies for decluttering your home, along with advice on how to responsibly dispose of unwanted items. CREATIVE LIFESTYLES Painting with Acrylics This 6 week course is designed for those wishing to learn or improve their acrylic painting skills. Learn about the rules of painting with WA artist Shirley Winstanley in a relaxed atmosphere and capture your subject on canvas.
