Rhonda’s Life and Memories

Rhonda Lynette Potter was born on March 25, 1969 to Willie and Susie Potter in Panama City, Florida. Rhonda graduated from Vernon High School in 1987. She furthered her education at the University of Florida and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations. Rhonda was employed with the Food and Drug Administration as an Operation’s Support Manager in Maryland. Cultivating friends came easy for Rhonda in every city that she lived as she was a very outgoing person. She engaged in the greatest friendship of all, by ac-cepting Christ into her life. Rhonda was preceded in death by her older brother Willie Lewis Potter. Rhonda will be missed by her loving father and mother Willie and Susie Potter of Ebro, Florida; her brother and sister-in-law James “Joe” and Jenny Potter of Leander, Texas; two nieces Kayla and McKenzie Potter also of Lean-der, Texas; one nephew Ryan Potter of Mountain Home, Idaho; her half-brother Terry (Dorothy) Killings of Panama City, Florida; grandparents Alexander and Madie Brown, Catherine Potter and Alvin (Annie Mae) Brown; her close friends Tangela Anderson and Nancy Henry, a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, extended relatives and numerous friends.

If Roses Grow in Heaven

Don't think of me as gone away, My journey's just begun. Life holds so many facets, This earth is only one.

Just think of my as resting, from the sorrows and the tears, In a place of warmth and comfort,

Where there are no days and years. Think how I must be wishing, That we could know today,

How nothing but your sadness, Can really pass away. And think of me as living, In the hearts of those I touched,

For nothing loved is ever lost, And I was loved so much.

If Tomorrow Starts Without Me

If tomorrow starts without me, And I'm not there to see. If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me

I wish so much you wouldn't cry the way you did today. While thinking of the many things we didn't get to say. I know how much you love me, As much as I love you,

And each time that you think of me, I know you'll miss me too; But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand,

That an angel came and called my name, And took me by the hand

And said my place was ready, in heaven far above, And that I'd have to leave behind all those I dearly love. But as I turned to walk away, A tear fell from my eye, For all my life, I'd always thought, I didn't want to die.

I had so much to live for, So much left yet to do, It seemed almost impossible, that I was leaving you.

But when I walked through heaven's gates, I felt so much at home. When God looked down and smiled at me,

From His great golden throne, He said, "This is eternity, and all I've promised you.

Today your life on earth is past, but here life starts anew. So when tomorrow starts without me, Don't think we're far apart,

For every time you think of me, I'm right here, in your heart.

Something Beautiful Remains

The tide recedes, but leaves behind, Bright seashells on the sand. The sun goes down but gentle warmth, Still lingers on the land.

The music stops and yet it lingers on, In sweet refrain. For every joy that passes, Something beautiful remains
