After the resurrection and ascension, the followers of Christ Jesus found themselves wondering what to do next, and then it happened: the descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. The Book of Acts is the New Testament’s thrilling account of how simple men and women shared the Gospel message that had transformed their lives. This talk will share the historical, geographical, political and religious background to provide greater insight that can guide our Christian experience today.

Madelon Maupin has a Masters in Theological Studies from San Francisco Theological Seminary and a B.A. in Religion from Principia College. She has lectured for Princess Cruises for their Holy Land tours and has led her own groups to the Middle East, including Israel and Turkey. Madelon’s company, BibleRoads.com, provides extensive Biblical education materials in the form of talks, online video courses and Bible Study workbooks, etc. She is a frequent contributor to Christian Science magazines and has shared her love of the Bible with

audiences worldwide for several decades. She lives in Newport Beach, California with her husband, George Birdsong, and their cocker spaniel.
