Adam Paul, WELL AP Senior Associate Adam Paul is a senior project eningeer at Longman Lindsey with a strong foundation in acoustics, built during his studies and while working in the construction industry. Adam was a 2014 recipient of the Leo Beranek Student Medal for Excellence in the Study of Noise Control, awarded by the Institute of Noise Control Engineering for his work in the study of how floor finishes affect noise levels in hospitals. Adam also received the 2014 Robert Bradford Newman Medal for for Merit in Architectural Acoustics, awarded by the Acoustical Society of America, for his work with the expansion of music facilities at Trinity College. As a classically trained tenor, Adam has a heightened awareness to intrusive noise. This has grown into a desire to improve the performance of the built environment, offering end users spaces that are free from acoustic distractions. Adam’s favorite projects are those where he is able to apply his skills in reducing intrusive noise impact from mechanical equipment and environmental noise sources. He has provided acoustics expertise on a wide range of projects, from generator noise control on New York City Housing Authoirty Sandy Recovery projects to façade design on a mixed-use community center.
