What is an addiction?

The addictions are normally considered sources of pleasure, joy and desire, mainly because the advertisements associate the habit of drinking and smoking as a wonderful adventure, with men and women having fun and smiling.

Alcohol

Being considered a drug, the alcohol is consumed through drinks, which are sold commercially.

The percentage of alcohol in the drinks changes according to the type and brand of the drink.

Effects of alcohol

Alcohol consumption causes, in the first stage, euphoria, disinhibition and sociability.

As the consumption goes, the effects increase, leaving to lack of motor coordination, lost of control and in a more advanced phase it could reach alcoholic coma.

Tobacco

Tobacco is a plant whose scientific name is Nicotiana Tabacum, from which is extracted a substance called nicotine.

Despite the consequences of, nicotine is one of the most consumed drugs in the world.

Effects of Tobacco

The main effects of nicotine in the nervous system are: mild mood elevation and decreased appetite.

Nicotine is considered a mild stimulant, although a large number of smokers say they feel relaxed when they smoke.

Tobacco, when used over time, can lead to the development of tolerance, the person tends to consume an increasing number of cigarettes to feel the same effects that were originally produced by lower doses.

Crack

The crack is a mixture of cocaine in paste form unrefined with baking soda.

This drug presents itself in the form of small stones and can be up to five times more potent than cocaine.

The effect of crack lasts ten minutes.

Effects of crack

The first effects of crack are a euphoria that disappears suddenly full after a short time, being followed by a large and deep depression.

Because of the speed of effect, the consumer consumes new doses to feel a new euphoria and leaving the depressive state.

Conclusion

With this work I learned a lot about the drugs and its effects.

Finally I appeal to my colleagues to never consume drugs because the effects are very bad.
