Adding a Hyperlink to a Document 1. Open a browser window and go to your school webpage. 2. Log in to the website. 3. Navigate to the page you wish to add a hyperlink to a document. 4. Click on Page Properties and then Check out & Edit Page. 5. Highlight the text you wish to make the hyperlink and click on the icon on the toolbar. 6. From the Link window, click on Browse Server. 7. From the FCKeditor window, select the folder that you wish to save your documents to. (If you don’t have a folder already created, click on Create New Folder, name the folder specific to you, your activity/club/department/sport, or to the type of information that will be posted there.) Click on Browse at the bottom of the screen to navigate to the location of the file you wish to add. Click Upload. 8. Select the file from the FCKeditor window. 9. The Link window reopen showing the path to your document where a URL would be. Click on the Target tab at the top of the screen. From the Target drop down menu, select New Window (_blank). This will open the document in a new window so visitors to your page will not be directed elsewhere and accidently close out the window and lose the webpage. Click OK.

Adding a Hyperlink to a Document 

 

1. Open a browser window and go to your school webpage.   

2. Log in to the website.  

3. Navigate to the page you wish to add a hyperlink  to a document.  

4. Click on Page Properties and then Check out & Edit Page.   

5. Highlight the text you wish to make the hyperlink and click on the            icon on the toolbar.   

6. From the Link window, click on Browse Server.     

7. From the FCKeditor window, select the folder that you wish to save your documents to.    (If you don’t have a folder already created, click on Create New  Folder, name the folder specific to you, your  activity/club/department/sport, or to the type of information that will be posted there.)  Click on Browse at the bottom of the screen to navigate to  the location of the file you wish to add.    Click Upload.    

8. Select the file from the FCKeditor window.    

9. 10. The text is now a hyperlink.    Click Publish at the top of the page to make these changes live  on the webpage.  If you are still working on adding hyperlinks or editing other information and want to save these changes without making them live, click Save.
