Fixation MethodologyAshirvad systems can each be fitted to pipes of three different sizes:
DN 30, DN 40 & DN 50 and DN 70, DN 90 & DN 100.
The nominal connection diameters have been selected to make it possible to fit the valve to a pipe of diameter DN 90 and DN 40 by inserting it into a sleeve. If the valve is to be inserted into a pipe without a sleeve, of nominal dia DN 100 and DN 50, the rubber connector has to be used. For nominal diameters DN70 and DN30, the rubber connector is used to allow the valve to be pushed onto a pipe without sleeve.
For non-standard pipe dimensions, adaptors must be used.
InstallationVentilair® Air Admittance Valves can be installed as per instructions given below:
• Absolutelyverticalinstallationisessential.
• SlantingorhorizontalVentilair®AirAdmittanceValveswill not function.
• Accessibilitymustbeensured,formaintenancepurposes.
• Incaseofinstallationinconcealedlocation,sufficient air supply must be available.
• Iffittedtoahorizontalwastepipe,theVentilair®AirAdmittance Valve must be installed at least one pipe thickness vertically above the level of the pipe.
DescriptionThe purpose of an air admittance valve is to provide a method of allowing air to enter the plumbing drainage system to prevent siphonage of plumbing fixture traps.
It is a one-way valve designed to allow air to enter the drainage system when negative pressures develop in the piping system. The device closes by gravity and seals the vent terminal at zero differential pressure (no flow conditions) and under positive internal pressures.
