Within the "InDeepPulse Telescopic Cleaning System";

System is composed of a telescopic moving unit able to travel throughout the length of the filter cassette and

a nozzle at its front applying the cleaning air s to the cassette with sense of quality.PULSE IN DEEP

Cleaning air applied into the cassette with short intervals works simultaneously with the counter air blockage

paddle and filter bags are shaken 6-8 times from different center points of cassettes that ensures perfect and

complete surface cleaning of the filter bags at the end of each cycle.

Telescopic cleaning unit is installed on linear guide rollers and

all driven by servo motors enable the unit to move

to the front of each filter cassette with required sequence

and direction by pre-defined coordinates.

Telescopic Cleaning Unit and the blowing

nozzle is driven by another servo drive which is

able to move through the length of the filter cassette

and applies low pressure cleaning air received from

highly durable & flexible hose with short intervals into the cassette.

Cleaning cycle and its S-shape application pattern (from right to left

At existing & known standard so called “Jet Pulse Filter”;Works with high pressure compressed air (above 6 bar) as cleaning media being applied from the narrow end of

the filter cassettes through the holes on a pipe positioned vertically. High pressure compressed air accumulated in

a dedicated storage tank is purged into the cassette and leads to a shaking effect on filter bags and the dust to

fall down to the bottom of the filter body.

However;

• The shaking effect of the bags may not be transferred till to the end of bags with the same power leading to

deterioration of cleaning performance and gradual blockages on cassettes

• The dust is caught once more by lower cassettes before reaching to the bottom since the cleaning is applied

within a very short time

• Cassette design at the exit section is to be narrowed in order to generate venture effect and push further

the cleaning effect of high pressure compressed air. While such mechanical design intends to support cleaning

performance, it generates permanent mechanical resistance to the suction flow of the fan and increases energy

losses of the system

• Moreover, high density & strong filter bags are to be used as filter bag media in order to resist to the frequent

and strong mechanical stress of cleaning air mainly at the front section of the filter cassettes. Higher density

medias do not help for better air cleaning but generates higher resistance as the air permability drops leading

again a permanent mechanical resistance to the suction flow of the fan and increases energy losses of the system.

All due to above mentioned main working principle reasons, energy losses at filters operating with

Jet Pulse cleaning systems are quite high and as the filter cleaning performances are poor further energy losses

exits due to high compressed air consumption usage that all leading to a higher operating expenses for factories.

Besides, there are still further improvement opportunities at Jet Pulse filtering systems in terms of operational

safety, occupational healthiness and ergonomics of maintenances.

The filter bags are rapidly inflated

and then shrank with the power of

low pressure cleaning air being

applied equally & locally to

the flexible & widened filter bag bodies

that pushes the dust away from the surface of the filter bags.

Thanks to the design features of Telescopic Cleaning System, filter bags are inflated section by section and

are exposed to low mechanical pressure, consequently own extended life time and while having the same filtering

quality, lighter filter bag media usage opportunity is granted.

As a result;• Bag replacement period is extended,

• Lighter filter bag material becomes cheaper,

• Relatively less number of filter bags are used.

In brief, owning and replacement cost of filter bags is reduced by around 30% vs. standard Jet Pulse filters.

The frequency of filter bags cleaning is reduced outstandingly due to the high quality, perfectly cleaned filter bags

and the full amount of the dust removed from system by each cycle end. Consequently, filter bags cleaning duration

as well as the amount of the cleaning air consumption is reduced.

Perfect and high quality filter cleaning is always ensured although the cleaning air pressure is reduced

below 3 bar with the help of correctly and closely applied cleaning air to the filter bags.

ADADEBA FILTER, Reduces Cleaning air consumption by

more than 60%An integrated counter air blockage paddle eliminates the weakening power ofsuction fan air stream on applied cleaning air and this dramatically enhancesthe cleaning performance of the filter bags. Consequently, the frequency ofthe cleaning is reduced and more than 60% of cleaning air consumptionreduction is achieved.

It generally becomes adequate to apply the cleaning cycleonly for 3 to 4 times per shift for a dust filter operating with medium dust load.

One of the important notice for the perfect cleaning is

that through the extension of the Telescopic Cleaning unit,

the volume inside the filter cassette becomes less and

the cleaning performance is even increased with the same

amount of cleaning air volume is transferred inside.

This guarantees 100% full filter bag surface

cleaning at all.

Cleaning cycle is applied from higher to lower cassette raw in sequence, which is parallel to main air stream of

the suction fan. This helps to released dust to move downwards more strongly and to be discharged from

system more efficiently.

With the high quality filter cleaning and dramatic compressed air consumption reduction, the energy expense

for only compressed air generation is reduced by approximately 10.000 – 20.000 USD per year in other words

200.000 – 400.000 USD per average operating lifetime of the filter reduced depending on

the filtering capacity and load.

To eliminate the permanent physical design pressure losses exist on filter body

(regardless of the dust loads) and dust filters becomes no source of unchangeable energy

consumption points of an operation.

There is a direct relationship in between cleaning air application pressure and the minimum mechanical resistance

level of filter bag materials. As long as the cleaning air pressure is increased, the same level of strength is to be provided

to the filter bags. However in adverse, this reduces the air permability of filter bags and system generates resistance to

regular air flow.

As a reality; a better air cleaning may not be provided by stronger and thicker filter bag media usage, Adeba Filter and

its technology “In Deep Pulse Telescopic Cleaning System” enables the opportunity of using lighter wilder bag media

with higher air permability and the dramatic reduction of system fixed energy losses.

With further improved laminar air flow conditions supporting the spontaneous mechanical dust separation inside

bag filter together with all above mentioned improvements, approximately 50 daP (mmWater) of dust filter fixed

pressure loss is eliminated

This avoidance of 50 daP (mmWater) of pressure loss equals to approximately 10% of system fan energy consumption

and such important saving is delivered for all through the operating duration of the filters.

ADEBA FILTER, Filter cleaning process is

done by “Intelligent Cleaning System”Another unique application inside Adeba Filter automation

is so called “INTELLIGENT CLEANING SYSTEM”..

It follows all system dynamics and depending on the actual

operating conditions, it resets the working range of

the cleaning activity in order to ensure reliable and efficient

cleaning is always achieved even after long downtimes or

low capacity operations of filters.

There are additional system components available anymore in all new dust filters for energy efficiency purpose and

those components act like slowing down the fan, close and isolate the sub processes when not necessary or

when not running.

While this is a right approach to save energy, there is a usually forgotten critical system element also running inside.

This is “Differential Pressure Sensor” which is very sensitive to air volume and may generate totally different values

controlling the most important parameter of a dust filter. Misleading values may even end up with choking up the filter

and/or irrecoverable deformations on system equipment like filter bags, cassettes, screw conveyor and air-lock.

However, in ADEBA FILTER system automation;

• Follows the actual energy consumption of the fan

spontaneously and continuously compares this actual

data with the regular/nominal operating value which is

experienced and entered to the program parameters

at the beginning of start-up. Once there is a more than

certain rate of energy consumption is reduced,

it distinguish the change and consider the value received

from Filter Pressure Drop sensor is RELATIVELY wrong.

• Consequently, it corrects the filter cleaning set value (CV)

with a certain rate as an automation parameter once again

entered based on experiences. It compares the actual data

with corrected set value and trigger the cleaning cycle at the right time.

• Considering the fact that filters get dirty even running at low capacities, cleaning on the right timing is extremely

important in order to ensure maximum energy efficiency and perfectly cleaned filter readiness when the filter is

back with full capacity.

At existing & known standard so called “Jet Pulse Filter”;The cleaning set value can be entered only for one time, which is usually misleading the cleaning cycle and

either wasting energy by unnecessary cleaning or the filter gets into the risk of choke-up due to no cleaning.

Just because of this reason, factory operations usually disregard the differential pressure sensor control for

filter cleaning purpose and implement timing based filter cleaning conditions, which becomes an unavoidable energy

consumption for operations.

Enables quick detection of potential

problematic / torn off filter bag and

facilitates replacement within a very short

period of time.

Adeba filter is developed to provide superior operating conditions and

design features minimizing the risk of filter bag torn off probability.

Potential filter bag problems will be rapidly detected and

with very low cost & short duration of downtime, environmental

pollution risks will be eliminated.

With widened cassette entry structure, internal sections and filter bag surfaces

become visually controllable.

In case of dust leakage, certain amount of the dust will be accumulated

on the bottom of the filter cassette due to the reduced speed on the sections and

this accumulation will be simply & visually observed.

Filter cassettes can be quickly observed with the well level of

illumination in the clean air chamber of the filters through

the several inspection windows on the doors.

Possible filter bag problems can be quickly detected with

operator’s routine inspection checks of the filters rather than

lately recognizing the problem from chimney exhausts.

This functionality is also to be considered as

supporting design feature of Adeba filters for

the guarantee of factories exhaust air quality

together with highlighting their environmental

commitments to authorities.

However, Filter bags are sometimes torn off due to foreign objects coming from machineries or

physical deformation of cassette bodies or the fatigues of the bags as a result of frequent

high pressure cleaning air applications.

Implemented concept design enables to VISUALLY inspect the filter cleaning quality and to detect

the single problematic filter bag on his own in case of a leakage.

The number of running equipment and items requiring maintenanceon a standart dust filtering units have been dramatically reducedin Adeba Filters..Thanks to the concept design features, all running equipment is locatedat ground level and specifically for Telescope maintenance,dedicated & ergonomic coordinates have been pre-defined to ensure100% secured and ergonomic conditions for technicians.

Adeba Filter is provided with standard components like galvanized forge-welded

gratings, side protection sheet plates against object dropping risks as well as

appropriate level of side rails for safe access to units.

All operating equipment is located at the ground level of

clean gas chamber of Adeba Filter.

Maintenance of the telescopic cleaning unit may be only started

once the unit is directed to a dedicated maintenance coordinates

in order to ease maintenance as well as to provide ergonomic conditions.

At existing & known standard so called “Jet Pulse Filter”; Generally, due to operational necessities, all valves, tanks and control groups are

located at the top of the filters.

storage tanks in the middle of operations…

Beside,

As design feature of Jet Pulse filters, there exist many piping and

several supporting structural element to be dismantled prior to filter

bag replacements that prolongs the downtime duration of activity.

Filter replacement in Adeba Filter is dramatically facilitated. It requires only loosing

of 2 screw nuts and taking away the pressure plates.

Afterwards, filter cassettes can be simply slide out & slide in after new filter on.

This operation is extremely easy & quick and while there is relatively less cassettes

exist, Filter bag replacement duration is shorter and further supports the uptime of

the filter whilst the filter bag replacement target is still beyond 1 years of operation.

Today, Adeba Engineering is presenting a groundbreaking innovation in dust filtering technology overcoming many weak aspects of existing Jet Pulse filtering systems in terms of energy, efficiency, safety and automation.

All the forthcoming technological details are APPROVED / PUBLISHED by patents in USPTO (United State Patent and Trademark Office), PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty), EPO (European Patent Office) and TPE (Turkish Patent Institute).

The new generation dust filtering technology is now being launched under the trademark of “In Deep Pulse” as an important challenge to existing standard “Jet Pulse” filtering technology and its application principles.

Following intensive research, project development and prototype tests in our pilot plant, in Q1 2015, Adeba Engineering introduced the first dust filters to BAT Samsun facility. Following 6 months of qualification period, planned benefits are exceeded, deliverables are confirmed and the new process is well accepted by the operation.

Following the qualification period in BAT Samsun, 2nd & 3rd set of dust filters are installed consequently in Q4 2015 and Q4 2016 with all piping and auxiliary system automations. After these investments, complete facility with over 20 cigarette production lines in shop floor are being supported by Adeba’s new energy efficient systems.

In parallel, new technology is also introduced to PMI & JTI operations in Q2 2016 and aligned for qualification run. New systems in both facilities are put in operation as of Q1 2017.

It is a proud to update the final status as of Q4 2017 that the commitments are achieved with very similar results in PMI and JTI facilities as well. The outcomes of the new technology development is verified in all 3 different facility dynamics and JTI has recently approved the new technology and our company as one the global vendor for its other facilities for all savings to realize.
