Welcome From The President ...
It is with great pleasure that I welcome all of our competitors, parents and coaches to the first Fun Skate and Artistic Exhibition.
This competition is organised by Silver Blades Figure Skating Club together with Ice Arena Skate School and is designed to give skaters of all levels an opportunity to compete in a fun and challenging environment. It consists of both technical and artistic events, and we are hoping to make this competition a regular event each year.
The competition is conducted under the rules of Ice Skating Australia.
The event is the outcome of a group of SBFSC committee members, Skate School & Ice ArenA Staffs and volunteers who have dedicated their time and effort to bringing this event together.
A sincere thank you goes to Judges and coaches for their effort and commitment to helping the skaters and the club is sincerely appreciated.
Last, but not least, a big thank you to the South Australia Ice Skating Association (SAISA) who have fully supported this competition.
I would also like to thank and acknowledge our sponsors for their generous donation to the club with prizes to go into our raffle which will be drawn at the conclusion of the competition.
I hope you all have a great time, and reflex on positive memories once the event is over.

Competition Awards:
The Rising Star Perpetual Trophy
The most promising Skater Will be decided upon by a Panel of members which will be selected during the competition The winners will be announced at the final medal presentation on Saturday 13th April.
The Fun Skate & Artistic Exhibition Awards Trophies will be awarded to the first three placegetters in each event. All skaters participating in the Artistic Exhibition event will receive an award. The Panda Challenge Perpetual Trophies will be retained by the Silver Blades Figure Skating Club and will be engraved with the winner’s name and displayed at the Ice ArenA. The winner will receive a small version trophy. Participation certificates will be presented to all competitors.
Spectators Please Note Flashlights No flashlight photography is allowed during
warm-ups or performances. There will be photo opportunities at presentation time.
Barriers Please keep AWAY from the barrier during warm-ups and performances.
Stay seated Please stay seated during the competition events – wait for warm-ups to move around.
Flowers NO flowers or lollies are to be thrown onto the ice – please pass them directly to the skater at the end of their performance.
