Page 3: Adequacy Reporting Update - IESO · limited resources (using Online IESO) •Threshold criteria for publishing Advisory Notices for Major Changes replaced with increased publication

• Separation of SSRs and SAAs into the new reports: Adequacy, Transmission Limits, Advisory Notices and Zonal Demands

• New submission method for market participants with energy limited resources (using Online IESO)

• Threshold criteria for publishing Advisory Notices for Major Changes replaced with increased publication of information.

• Examples provided when Advisory Notices for Major Changes or High Risk would occasionally be published.

• Revised list of interface limits to report (discussed later)

Type Scenario System Advisory • Surplus Baseload Generation

• Shortfalls in Operating Reserve • Shortfalls in or changes to Ancillary Services

Emergency Advisory Emergency Operating State Market Suspension/Resumption

Suspension or resumption of all or part of the market

Type Scenario

System Advisory Major Change (e.g. loss of substation, entire interface)

Emergency Advisory High Risk Operating State (e.g. extreme weather)

• List of internal and external interfaces for which limit deviations are published

• Updated to reflect nomenclature changes

• IESO proposes reducing the number of internal limits to report: – Consistency with 18 Month Outlook reporting – Not impactful with control actions available for limit

improvement – Some either redundant or no longer applicable
