“Our purpose is to grow a profitable group that adds to our customer’s businesses, maintains a safe ethical working environment and is an organisation that people aspire to work for.”First and foremost I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you for your hard work during 2014 ensuring that the Group had yet another successful year. 2014 saw us take a further step in the right direction with significant recognition achieved in the industry as we took home two award wins – the ‘Barclays Manufacturing Service Award for Best Impact’ and the Made in the Midlands award for ‘Manufacturing Achievement’.

The adi Group strategy to focus on our customer’s needs has naturally led to growth. Therefore it is vital that in 2015 we now shift our focus internally in order to meet the ever-changing needs of customers and to further our aspirations to become a £100m business. adi has grown and developed against the backdrop of a philosophy of never standing still and continuous improvement has become a way of working for all of our employees. The year ahead represents a significant step forward in our ongoing transformation as a business as we strive further towards further improvements in order to take the Group to the next level.

We have already launched two initial schemes this year concerning Group Purchasing together with our supplier relationships, and secondly, a designated continuous improvement (CI) programme aimed at achieving total employee engagement. The main focus of the programme is to hone in on the differing needs and objectives of each of our 22 divisions to drive improvement and efficiency across the entire business. We are asking all Managing Directors to identify fundamental areas within their respective divisions to develop throughout the year to further bolster our service offering. It is anticipated that this approach will be mirrored elsewhere in the Group to place CI at the forefront of everything that we do as a business throughout the year. More information our two initiatives and how you can get involved in helping us shape the future of adi can be read on page 9.

We continue to review our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) objectives. Our plan for this year is to enhance our existing CSR programme to deliver a ‘less is more’ approach and ensure quality is administered across our five key areas of development; Environmental, Client and Supplier Partnerships, Employer of Choice, Employee Engagement and Well-Being and, Investment In The Local Community. Our CSR committee will look to further direct attention on targeting very specific CSR elements with a view to forge closer relationships with our key partners to establish mutually beneficial relationships across all areas of CSR.

As we enter our 25th anniversary of the business, we have a number of exciting plans and projects in the pipeline. On Friday 12th June we will be hosting our very own employee conference and celebration event in Birmingham. More specific information regarding this event will be revealed in due course. We are aiming for 100% attendance from all employees to mark this momentous occasion in adi history and hope that as many employees as possible will join us to celebrate our ‘big’ day and all of our achievements as a business to date.

The message for the rest of 2015 is further developing and improving ourselves to enable us to continue to exceed expectations and add further value to our customer’s businesses. There is a great strength in numbers, and together we can build a greater adi that innovates, inspires and prospers.

Group Corporate Management Update

Aldo helps adi Telecom with their first customer

adi Group were delighted to take home a second Made In The Midlands Award for Manufacturing Achievement. Made In The Midlands celebrates manufacturing and engineering companies within the West Midlands and actively promotes these businesses. We submitted an application that highlighted the investment we have made in our workforce within the last 12 months. This investment has seen our workforce grow by 18% which is a huge achievement within the engineering and manufacturing industry.

Our workforce investment has helped us to meet the demanding and changing needs of our customers and the growing needs of adi to ensure we retain, grow and compete within our market sector. 2014 saw the addition of adi Telecom to our portfolio of services, greater employee investment, the launch of our Apprentice Academy, and our partnerships with North Bromsgrove School and Aston University Engineering Academy to encourage more young people into engineering.

Well done to everyone for contributing to adi’s continued success. The award is now proudly on display at Head Office.

Aldo was on site with the adi Telecom team for the final installation and configuration of Yaskawa’s hosted voice solution. Yaskawa is the world’s largest robotics business - with approximately 18 million inverter and servo drives and over 270,000 industrial robots installed. adi Telecom have just completed the final stage of the implementation of a ‘cloud based’ hosted voice and mobile solution for Yaskawa.

Besides the fantastic Engineering Day over the summer, we have continued to work closely with the school on a number of initiatives such as staff involvement in careers days and at open and option evenings.

North Bromsgrove had an OFSTED inspection just before Christmas and are raised from “needing improvement” to “good”. Well done to the staff and students at the school for all of their hard work and efforts.

In the coming months we hope to continue to inspire the next generation of engineers and help give students at the school the skills to thrive in the future - no matter what their career choice!

Back in October, adi invested in a training workshop for the Group’s Operational Managers and sales teams hosted by our training provider Longden Associates. The day was centred on how we can improve productivity within adi through team work and was rather aptly titled “Strength In Numbers”. The objective of the event was to deliver serious business improvement ideas for adi in a fun and collaborative manner and this was achieved.

All adi Group divisions were represented with 70 attendees allocated into one of 12 teams for both the morning and afternoon team building sessions. The tasks on the day were focused on developing teamwork and communication to help improve productivity and therefore, client satisfaction. The teams were organised so that delegates worked together with colleagues that they may not ordinarily work alongside on a day-to-day basis. This ensured plenty of friendly rivalry and competitive team spirit throughout the day.

One of the tasks was for each team to set up a production run of folding A4 sheets of paper following a common design to create paper cups that would hold water. This simple sounding exercise started with each team asked to make as many cups as they could in a three minute production run. Each team then assessed their methods and performance and repeated this task a further three times. All teams were able to increase the number of cups made during each subsequent three minute production run by working out improved work practices and helping each other collectively as a team. Quality also had to be maintained and so the cups were tested with water poured into them leading to some interesting final count adjustments!

FEEDBACK“Well arranged day with good content”

“It was very useful being interactive with parts of the

business we don’t normally meet”

“When’s the next one?!!”

“More of the same - great day”

“Very helpful, imaginative - set at right level!”

“Great day and very worthwhile”

“Great day, motivational, everyone working together”

STRENGTHIN NUMBERS

At the end of the day, each delegate was asked to complete an individual action plan on how they can bring their own changes into effect within their role in the Group. These individual plans will be monitored to ensure improvements are implemented, maintained and that the best practices are shared across the Group.

The day culminated with an evening session where the opportunity of further networking with colleagues reinforced what was felt by all involved to be a thought provoking and very beneficial event. Feedback received from staff that attended on the day was fantastic, further confirming the success of the event. And, despite it being early days, the Group is already beginning to see the added value that collaboration and sharing of knowledge can bring to further enhance our winning team.

adi Sales Team, 12 Months On…

Last year the sales team shifted their focus towards supporting our portfolio of Group services. Part of the growth plan was further development of the team itself and, 2014 saw five new team members appointed to provide additional support across Group Sales, FM, Healy Compressor Services and, TEGG Service. Together, the team completed over 1000 visits to c400 potential new customers, meeting on a monthly basis to increase cross-selling activities across the entire Group.

A group wide collaboration ensured that each adi division introduced key services, unique selling points and value

proposition, to improve team awareness and potential group selling opportunities. This resulted in a four-fold increase in the amount of group opportunities being generated. The team also integrated Salesforce.com, a fully-fledged specialist Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software solution into their wider strategy to manage all customer interactions.

This year we have welcomed Murray Evans and David Todd to the sales team to add extra focus to the adi Environmental and adi Automation Divisions. We look to continue our investment in our CRM system using bespoke tools to maximise our sales effort and improve efficiency.

We will continue introducing new divisions to our established customer base, to maximise group opportunities and assist our clients in reducing their own supply chain. A core focus will be developing our strategic customer accounts, ensuring that we align our business to the needs of our customers businesses. By using the services within the Group to deliver projects, our clients can select the exact service combinations needed to suit their individual requirements. This enables complex projects to be delivered without the need to gain additional resources from external contractors.

2015 sees the imminent launch of the new Group website, newly developed in-house software solutions and our continued quest to find new customers combined with our program of increasing customer awareness of group services. This year will see us lean more towards Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as we seek to align our CSR strategy to that of our clients.

The sales team look forward to an exciting year ahead and one which promises to be both challenging and rewarding in equal measure.

We recently launched our total employee engagement scheme that aims to involve all 450 employees of adi in taking the business to the next level. This initiative has been rolled out to all Group Managing Directors who have been tasked with defining specific schemes for each business unit.

Previously our Continuous Improvement Programme (CIP) was tied to the Group as a whole meaning that the specific requirements of individual divisions were not fully acknowledged. This year our aim is to rectify this and we will be working alongside Longden Associates to drive our CIP initiatives. Longden will work with MDs to establish core areas for improvement in each division and drive momentum towards improving everything that we do as a business.

Senior Management teams will be asking you to take an active role in how we can continue to improve our working environment. This is your chance to help us improve adi and we want your input! Please submit any suggestions to; [email protected]

Continuous Improvement Programme

Group Purchasing Initiative

We are currently undergoing a review of our procurement activity and supply chain led by Stephen Forrester (adi

Mechanical MD) and John Eggington (Group Purchasing Manager) and his team. As the business continues to

grow, we believe that we can work closer with our many valued suppliers and ensue that we manage our

costs more efficiently.

John Eggington and his team are working with Steve Rowland and Jan Bridgewater from eXceeding to introduce industry “Best Practice” to adi and strengthen our supply

base. This is a priority for adi if we are to achieve our goals of continual investment and growth and provide the best value

for money to our clients.

If you have any suggestions on reducing our purchasing costs (e.g change of supplier, material, manufacturer, quantity, etc)

Over the last 20 years, adi Mechanical has grown by investing in individuals capable of responding to specific customer and marketplace needs. Stephen Forrester, the new Managing Director, joins adi Mechanical to take the business forward into its next phase. Stephen joins us from Milsco Manufacturing where he held the position of Managing Director in a heavy mechanical environment specialising in providing vibration isolation solutions to construction vehicle manufacturers. His background of business development within the mechanical engineering sector, along with his experience in many of the market sectors adi Group operate within, gives an excellent fit for the growth aspirations adi Mechanical have for the next business plan period.

Taking adi Mechanical forward, the focus over the next three years will be on continuing to grow their existing client base. The aim is to make the mechanical workshops a one stop shop for all Group fabrication requirements to help generate new opportunities. The division also looks to increase its on-site

presence and to broaden the sectors where we can deliver Pipework and Fabrication, and Installation and Fitting Services to customers.

adi Mechanical recently launched a brand new 24/7 rapid response team on our Kings Norton workshop site. The new division will provide a rapid response service to support all heavy mechanical breakdowns initially in the Midlands. The core services provided include; full mechanical maintenance inclusive of fault finding, overhaul, replacements and safety upgrades, motor and gearbox overhaul and lifting services to support all install requirements. Steve Finlan has been brought in to head up the division and will report directly to Stephen Forrester.

One of the key challenges for 2015 is how we as Group utilise our best resource – our people – to become a conjoined business unit adding levels of support and value to each other. The 24/7 rapid response represents a new level in customer support for adi as we continuously strive to improve our value proposition as a business and to our clients.

Stephen comments: “I was enticed into the Group by its entrepreneurial approach and track record of growth in a deflated economy and within a challenging marketplace. I believe the Group has only really scratched the surface of what it can achieve by cross-selling its business units and technical capabilities; this is a very exciting time to be part of the adi Group team.”

Andrew Dunne, Managing Director, gives the latest run-down and developments from across the Irish Sea…

adi Ireland will be hosting a stand at the “Future In Pharmaceutical” conference which will see many multi-national Pharmaceutical companies represented by senior engineering personnel providing plenty of networking opportunities. The team also

attended the National Irish Safety Organisation / Health & Safety Authority Conference in Mullingar opened by the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins and the Northern Ireland Health & Safety Conference in Lisburn. It is anticipated that many new business opportunities will be generated off the back of these conferences.

We were recently successful in securing CMS (Contractor Management System) contracts with both Diageo and Siemens and are in the latter stages of negotiation with a number of ESB (Electricity Supply Board) sites. 2015 will see a big push on CMS in both the North and South of Ireland to try and cement our position as the partner of choice in this field.

On the FM front the team are in discussion with Mylan who are rapidly expanding their operation in Dublin. In EMC we are continuing to expand our role and are currently working on their water treatment as well as some other smaller projects.

Finally, our Christmas night out was a most enjoyable night in 37 Dawson Street. We had a great attendance on the night with the lads from Cork and Belfast adding to the variety of accents on the night… there is talk of Belfast hosting next year’s party. Many thanks to Niall Deans and the rest of the committee for doing a great job in organising the night.

adi’s Automation division is a vital component of the adi Group service offering; providing our customers with the opportunity for a single sourced solution for a complete lifecycle capability to design, build and provide ongoing service level support of industrial control and information systems and solutions. Since our expansion into the North West in 2012 with our Liverpool Offices headed by Bryan McAuley, adi’s Automation division has continued to thrive.

The team has secured numerous opportunities in the North and has also excelled further afield, successfully completing projects on an international stage earning critical acclaim from our customers for manufacturing performance improvement. More recently, the team has secured a new service level maintenance contract at one of the busiest ports in the UK, firmly placing us at the heart of their asset management programme and as a valued contributor to future projects.

The scope of projects for the Automation team is extensive, working across multiple industry sectors to deliver bespoke solutions to our customers – ranging from smaller single discipline projects through to major turn-key packages, across a range of proprietry platforms including:

• Off-ShoreWaterFiltrationSystems• AutomotiveSeatManufacturingSystems• ChemicalBatchProcessControlandMonitoring• BeerandLagerFermentationandConditioningControl• MachineAssemblyVisionSystems• Electro-ChemicalFuelCellSystems• CoffeeBeanExtractionControl• LargeAutomatedConveyingSystemsfortheFood,Beverage and Defence Industries.• ChocolateProcessManufacturingSystems• IndustrialProcessCleaningInPlace(CIP)Systems• PortDocksMajorAssetSCADA&PumpingSystems• RFIDTagTrackandTraceSystemforProductFlowManagement• BioGasPlantSupervisoryControlandDataAcquisition

Moving forwards in 2015, adi Automation plans to continue to strive to extend its reputation for quality and service within the world of Process Manufacturing Automation and Control. The team will continue to utilise their experience and intrinsic capabilities in Control and Information Systems Integration, LV Control Panel Manufacture and Electrical Installation to continue to deliver solutions for a wide cross-section of industries.

adi’s Automation division shines on the international stage completing an ambitious

full turn-key control system upgrade for a renowned Swedish blue ship food and

beverages company. The site integration was achieved in just four weeks.

The decision to overhaul the factory’s automation system was driven by ageing equipment,

increasing global demand by consumers of the clients products and the need to guard against

unexpected downtime, whilst also providing the client with greater manufacturing flexibility.

A crucial requirement was to remodel the automation process to meet the International

S88 batch standard with a view to making plant processes more consistent. In the nine months leading up to the planned four week shutdown period, the team; redefined production, wrote

new software, designed and built a suite of replacement control panels and, used the latest technology to remodel the control philosophy

and architecture.

Harry Booker, Managing Director of adi Automation comments:

“Upgrading a major production process in a matter of weeks was a tall order. We knew the global orders were at stake. However, by

working closely with the client and our partners in Germany, we were able to develop and put in place a solution within the four week deadline.

The S88 model approach and methods we deployed during the early design phases reaped benefit during the testing and validation stages, and will offer greater flexibility in the future. The

plant was able to ramp up to full production within a matter of days and production delivered

the highest ever recorded efficiency targets.”

Lars Rörström (Business Development and Engineering, from

Daim) adds:

“With such a short time scale, it was essential for us to work with engineers that were efficient, reliable and highly skilled and the

smooth install and excellent solution is testament to the

team at adi.”

CSR Round-Up

QHSE UpdateBy Roy Cumberworth, Group

QA/H&S Manager

CSR Aims

2014 saw the Group seriously ramp up our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. Our designated CSR Committee met regularly to discuss the direction and effectiveness of our policy to ensure continuous improvements were made and implemented across the business. We were greatly encouraged by our employees’ desire to be involved with CSR (particularly in the local community) however, as a business we simply tried to do too much, which

subsequently diluted our resources.

In 2015 the aim is to deliver a new and improved CSR programme. We recognise that in order to be successful in CSR we must strengthen our relationships with stakeholders and, work alongside them to create meaningful partnerships that have mutual benefits for both parties. This year will see the Group strive to fully align everything that we do as a business with our core CSR values and vision.

The final quarter of 2014 was a busy time for external auditing by our certification body, NQA. ISO9001 (Quality), ISO14001 (Environmental), OHSAS18001 (Health & Safety) are all Management Systems that are requested by our key clients. adi Electrical, Mechanical, FM, Climate and City Electrical all had their annual ISO9001 surveillance visits and adi Electrical, Mechanical and FM also had their annual OHSAS18001 surveillance visits. No concerns were raised. Thanks to everyone involved in the preparation and auditing processes. In Q1 2015, new registrations are being sought for adi Automotive (OHSAS18001 and ISO14001) and Climate Systems (OHSAS18001). Additionally, a relatively

adi Apprentice Academy Launches Into 2015

At the tail end of October, adi Head Office hosted the official launch day of our new Apprentice Academy. Nine of our current 14 apprentices attended the day with Programme Manager Graham Bond where they all met for the very first time. The day consisted of an introduction to adi and words of wisdom from adi CEO Alan Lusty who presented to our apprentices, a health and safety talk from Health & Safety/QA Co-ordinator Roy Cumberworth, meeting adi Head Office staff and participating in team building activities - including the infamous Spaghetti Tower Challenge which provided some great inter-apprentice friendly rivalry! The winners were Jessica Horton (Business Administration Apprentice), Josh Boraston (Automotive Apprentice) and, Kyle Sterry (Mechanical Apprentice) whose carefully designed raft top managed to secure not only their own marshmallow but also that of the other two teams!

Feedback from the launch day was very positive with everyone enjoying the chance to meet fellow Apprentices and share their adi experiences. Apprentice Academy Manager, Graham Bond said:

“I personally found the day to be a successful start to the academy and enjoyed the day immensely and look forward to working with them all in the future.”

Role: Business Apprentice

Describe your role: My role is to be a part of the Admin team. During my time at adi I have had the chance to organise the supplier maintenance system. I add suppliers and make sure that their details are correct and updated when they need to be. Being on the phones helps me to speak to different people, internal staff members and external customers and clients. Being at adi has given me the chance to improve my confidence in speaking to new people, greeting customers and clients when they arrive and being a part of a team.

Why did you decide to do an apprenticeship at adi? I decided to do an apprenticeship at adi as the application suited what I wanted to do. I have always been interested in Business Administration and adi was the perfect place to do it.

Favourite thing about working at adi? My favourite thing about working at adi is that I am earning and learning in a professional business environment. I have got to know different people and I feel confident with my colleagues.

Biggest highlight to date? My biggest highlight to date has been developing my skills. I have always strived to improve my skills and to develop them further. Doing an apprenticeship gives me the opportunity to push myself and to take risks which result in gaining new skills and working on the skills I knew I already had.

JESSICA HORTON

Meet Our Apprentices

Role: Business Apprentice

Describe your role: I’m a Business and Administration Apprentice which has given me the opportunity to work within various different departments and teams at adi. At the moment I’m working across 3 different areas; Admin, IT and Purchasing. The huge variation in job roles means that no two days are the same and has helped me to develop key skills such as communication, team work and problem solving.

Why did you decide to do an apprenticeship at adi? I decided to do an apprenticeship at adi as the position advertised was really appealing and the responsibilities listed matched what I wanted to gain experience in – Business and Administration. The initial interview gave me a great insight into how the company operated and the opportunity to meet various members of the team. adi has a great company image and working environment but more importantly, the apprenticeship programme came across as structured and successful. I was delighted to be offered the chance to be an adi Apprentice.

Favourite thing about working at adi? My favourite thing about working at adi is the working environment. Everyone at adi is very friendly, supportive and positive and I feel part of a great team.

Biggest Highlight:The biggest highlight for me would be gaining new skills and having the chance to expand my knowledge and experience with roles and responsibilities that match my interests. This has meant that I have been able to grow as an individual and has helped with my career development.

How did it feel to win the Apprentice of the Year Award? It was really unexpected and really nice to be recognised for my accomplishments throughout the year. Knowing that I have support and appreciation from colleagues has given me a lot of confidence and motivation for the year ahead. My aim is to try and win it again this year! :-)

Page 15: adi Mail March 2015

Describe your roleI started at adi 5 years ago after being made redundant from my previous job and was offered a job working at Cadbury’s doing some rebuilding work. adi took me on as an agency worker and then permanently after 6 months. From there I just built up doing mainly building work repairs and general work, and now I do most of my work in the factory. That’s my main job but if there is a major project then I help out with the project and will put my hands to work and get that done as well.

What is it like to be based at adi’s Bournville Office?I grew up in Northfield and always came past Bournville on the train or the bus and looked at it thought “That’s Bournville”. When I first came here all I could smell was chocolate and the first time I went into the factory and you could see it being made, I was like a little kid. I’ve been here for years and it’s only recently that I’ve actually been into the factory to see what it’s like. I was really excited and still am now. I love it.

And of course, you won the Unsung Hero Award at the adi Christmas Party! I sat there and I was listening to the awards and I don’t know what it is but everything went quiet and I said “Did he mention my name!?” and I turned round and everyone was looking at me and clapping. It was just a shock and I didn’t expect it and I’m really grateful for it. My nature is to help people out and that’s what I’ve been brought up to do. I’m really grateful to the people that nominated me.

Hobbies/InterestsI’m a fisherman and used to be in a fishing club. I was in a competition final and my biggest catch was a big carp weighing 2Ibs 15ozs and that won! I’ve got a trophy at home. That was my biggest achievement for the club. I’ve also got three Shih Tzu’s; Katie, Silky and Dotty. Dotty is the mad one that runs all over the place.

If you could add one feature to the office what would it be?I would like to see that anyone who comes into the office miserable pays a price. Everyone should come in and laugh. If you come in with a smile on your face, you’ll have a good day. If you come in with a miserable face, there’s going to be a box there and you can put a pound in and at the end of the year we could give it to charity!

What led you to adi?I attended a jobs fair and went around all of the stands handing out my CV and ended up at the adi stand who thought I might be suitable for a Purchasing role! I reluctantly handed over my CV knowing that my skills set was not suitable for a role in Purchasing and never expected to hear from adi again. However, I was contacted a week or 2 later about the possibility of doing work experience for 6 weeks in the Marketing department which I jumped at. One day I was called to the main board room asked to make a presentation which I had to present to adi’s CEO, Alan Lusty. At the time it was terrifying! After I finished the presentation he offered me a job! It was the weirdest 20 minutes of my life so far!

Describe your role:I work as part of the Marketing and Communications team at adi. I work mostly on Internal Communications and ensuring all of our employees are up to date with the latest happenings within the Group and whatever else gets thrown my way. Right now my main roles are producing and sourcing content the adi Mail Newsletter, developing adi’s social media presence, revamping the adi Group website and, working as part of the CSR Committee to drive adi’s CSR initiatives within the Group. It’s a really varied role and no two days are the same. It’s tough but also very rewarding.

What achievements are you most proud of?When I started on work experience I got to help produce and write a lot of content for the newsletter. I was really proud of the finished edition! As a newbie to business at that time doing the Newsletter was a great way to learn all about adi as a company and the many people who work here. I’m also hugely proud of introducing our mascot bear Aldo to the business and love seeing all of the photos that our employees send of him from various locations.

Hobbies/InterestsI’m a World Championship level Irish Dancer so most of my spare time after work and at weekends are spent either at dance class or dance competitions. I also write for a Rock and Metal webzine and get to interview some of my favourite bands!

Name something about yourself people would be surprised about.I’m a former Speedway and Grasstrack racer (motorbikes with no brakes!). I made a few boys (and grown men) cry when I beat them! I used to do about 5 or 6 paper rounds every Sunday morning from the age of 12 to buy new motorbikes and engines and, fix all of the things I broke from crashing into the fences!

The annual adi Christmas Party was bigger and better than ever with over 300 attendees. The party was held at the Chesford Grange Hotel and Spa in Kenilworth and featured a String Quartet, the fantastic Jean Davis Irish Dancers and, the incredible Midlands band ‘Soul’d Out’ who ensured the dance floor was always packed. Additions this year included the announcement of our first ever adi annual Award winners as voted for by adi employees, a fun photo booth, and the appearance of a mysterious Christmas Turkey! The annual suppliers raffle raised over £500 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital – our chosen charity of 2014. Plans are already well under way for the 2015 adi Christmas Party – stay tuned for further updates and details hot off the press in the next edition of adi Mail.

A Close Call! Karl Healy from adi Healy Compressor Services was in

was in the office when he received a shock phone call

from the Police! In a rather bizarre set of circumstances,

Karl’s next door neighbour came back from his holiday

and had accidently driven his Mercedes “S” class into the

side of Karl’s garage! 1 Police car, 2 Fire Engines and

2 Paramedics attended. Karl

says the damage racked

up to 25K for the garage,

3K for his car and 13K for

the neighbours! Despite the

incident, Karl is still good

friends with his neighbours!

adi’s Football Team Kicks Off The Season In Style

Well done to the adi Football team on beating local rivals Cundalls 10-6 in the first match of the season! Varun Sarna (Climate Systems), Naveel Hussain (Group Purchasing) and newbie Muhammad Butt (Automation) battled adverse weather conditions including snow to take victory! A Fond Farewell

Denis Turner from adi FM recently

celebrated his retirement and will

be greatly missed by his colleagues

at adi – especially at our Bournville

Offices! Denis joined adi in September

2006 after working for many years at Lucas. His

Management skills and professionalism were evident

from the start which he maintained right through

until his retirement. Denis’ colleagues at Bournville

commented that his tightness with money was famous,

and that to this day they have never seen his wallet!

Word also has it that his daily jokes were suffered by

all of his colleagues and on occasion there were a

few good ones! Denis had the respect of all his adi

colleagues and Cadbury Managers and handled many

multi million pound projects during his career at adi. We

wish Denis all the best in his retirement.

Where’s Aldo? Aldo the adi mascot has had an exciting start at adi meeting our staff and clients and jet-setting around the world causing mischief! If you’re off anywhere exciting please contact [email protected] to take Aldo with you and be sure to send us your photos when Aldo comes to your office – the more creative the better!
