We asked ourselves how the customer might use the NEOclip out of store as well. The solution is through Adidas partnerships. When a NEO member goes to an Adidas event, goes to see a sponsored team, or interacts with an Adidas partner they can receive benefits. Meet MichaelMichael just came into the Neo store in his town to look around and came upon the NEOclip, a small circular wearable that can be attached to any accessory in the store. He buys it and a necklace attachment. When he gets home he fills out the simple NEO form with his information, size, fashion preferences, and account information. When he purchases NEO products he can earn points and share his purchases with friends via Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram.

The next time he enters a NEO store, the welcome screen recognizes his NEOclip identification and welcomes with a personalized greeting as well as recommendations according to his preferences. Using the in store reader, he scans the RFIDs on a pair of awesome shoes and sees they have the style in his size in stock. When the scan and find happens the staff is notified and they bring the pair to him. He also finds a bracelet accessories for his NEOclip that goes great with his new NEO shoes; letting him change his NEOclip to fit more easily with any outfit he decides to wear. When he is ready to make his purchase he choses to pay via her NEOclip, making his shopping experience smooth and easy.

Later that week, he goes to an event with friends that is sponsored by Adidas. At the event the RFID readers read his NEOclip and alerts him (via his smartphone) to special NEO member deals at the event as well as information.

TechnologyThree components are needed, "the NEOclip" (RFID tag), RFID readers, and a database.

1. The RFID tag simply let's the RFID reader know that the owner of the tag is present. Every RFID tag will be perceived as unique, and therefor it doesn't have to store a lot of data which allows the NEOclip to be VERY cheap.

2. The RFID reader's task is to feel the presence of the specific RFID tag, and then let the database know exactly which tag it is.

3. The database receives the RFID reader's data and understands who the owner of the NEOclip is. All information about the owner will be stored in the database, and relevant information will be presented.

RFID technology is not very expensive ($0.5/ per RFID tag). The consumers cost to buy a NEOclip could be 50€ / Piece. UHF readers cost from $500 per unit. The reader also needs an antenna which costs ca $200. The production cost of a database completely depends on how much Adidas wants to invest in this product. Since our innovative way to use this technology has no limits, the database could be infinite.
