Huntingdon Fusion Techniques (HFT) was established in 1975 and is the inventor, designer and manufacturer of pipe weld purging products. Mainly supplying to the oil and gas industries, HFT has vast experience of the types of applications that typically arise and has a range of solutions for almost any purging application.
Its inflatable system, for example, is available in tube sizes 1” to 96”. This ingenious devices is designed to localise a small volume of pipe section to purge thus making savings in both time and money spent on inert gas, e.g. Argon. HFT also manufactures a range of weld purge monitors that measure the amount of oxygen within the purge gas from 1000ppm down to as low as 1ppm.
The PurgEye 100 has become the monitor of choice amongst the welding fraternity assisting welders to achieve zero colour welds. Wrexham Mineral Cables (WMC) is the UK’s only manufacturer of fire survival MICC cables. Established in 1989 its specially designed equipment is housed in a 5,000 square metre purpose built factory located in Wrexham. WMC has held LPCB product approval for fire survival cables for nearly 30 years and ATEX hazardous area approval on its cable gland system for the same period with zero in filed failures to date.

Mineral insulated cables are fire srvival cables used to supply power or data to critical circuits or comm systems during a fire or incident where circuit integrity is crucial for extended periods. The cable system offered by WMC is the safest, most cost effective and environmentally friendly cable system for zones 1 and 2 hazardous area applications. Mineral insulated cable operates continuously up to 250C°, higher than any other type of polymeric fire resistant cable. British Standard testing includes BS 6387, BS 8519 and BS 8491 surviving in excess of 3 hours at 950C°. All cable systems supplied by WMC include a standard 30 year warranty.

The PurgEye 100 has become the monitor of choice amongst the welding fraternity assisting welders to achieve zero colour welds. The company’s pipe stoppers and plugs range is extensive, available for low and high pressure applications from ½” to over 100” in inflatable, nylon, mechanical and solid rubber connotations. It also manufactures pipe freezing kits for use with liquid CO2 and LN2 for pipe sizes ½” to 12” as standard. Quick and easy to install, saves time draining down systems for valve changeovers.
