Class aim/Objective: Describe your feelings and situations presenting a dialogue together

with a partner.

ADJECTIVES • Adjectives are words that describe or

modify another person or thing in the sentence

-ed

• Many adjectives that are formed with past participles (e.g. interested) describe a feeling or state.

• For example:

• I'm bored = I feel there is nothing that interests me at the moment.

More examples…

• 'I’m confused by the findings of the report.'

• 'She feels tired after working hard all day.'

-ing

• Many Adjectives formed from present participles (e.g interesting) describe the person, thing or topic which produces the feeling.

• For example:

• I'm boring = I'm a very uninteresting person.

More examples…

• 'Being upgraded to first class is surprising.'

• ‘The findings of this report are confusing.'

• 'Working hard all day is tiring.'

Remember that you are interested in

something, but it's the thing itself that is interesting.
