2) Unless sooner terminated, the term of this employment shall be:
April 25, 2014 - April 30, 2014
3) Contractor shall be compensated on the following basis (list salary):
Total Compensation up to $120.00 - Compensation is per attendance roster.
Contractor shall submit an approved invoice/time sheet for applicable payroll period/pay day. Contractor agrees to payroll deductions which include: Federal and State taxes, Social Security and Medicare taxes, as may be individually applicable. Contractor also agrees to obtain fingerprints and tuberculosis skin test as required by the Education Code.
4) Contractor understands and acknowledges that this employment is of a temporary nature and does not provide Contractor any rights to probationary or tenure status. Other than the compensation provided in paragraph 3 herein, Contract shall not be entitled to any other fringe benefits of the District.
5) This Employment Contract can be terminated by District at any time without cause at the sole discretion of the District. Contractor acknowledges and agrees that he/she is employed at will, at the pleasure of the District. This Employment Contract will be null and void if payroll documents are not completed when applicable and this agreement is not signed by the contractor 10 days prior to the beginning date of employment.

Follow-up and evaluation meetings will be required after program delivery. Evening and Saturday times may be required.

Job Summary: Faculty will work in coordination with the HSI Title V Grant Director and HSI Tutorial Coordinators to deliver information during reinforcement workshops for the EDGE Summer Bridge/ College Readiness Initiative.
Duties and Responsibilities: Faculty will work to plan and outline the English / Reading portion of a Summer Bridge/College Readiness Program to be provided for College of the Desert students entering into remedial English in the fall 2014 semester, deliver information to students reinforcing subject material while preparing students for coming challenges in future coursework and monitor supplemental learning activities taking place during the summer program. In conjunction, faculty will be asked to assist in developing assessments to provide measureable outcomes of the program and report on these outcomes following the conclusion of the program in accordance with federal reporting standards.

Duties and Responsibilities: Faculty will work to plan and outline the English portion of a Summer Bridge/College Readiness Program to be provided for College of the Desert students entering into remedial English in the fall 2014 semester, deliver information to students reinforcing subject material while preparing students for coming challenges in future coursework and monitor supplemental learning activities taking place during the summer program. In conjunction, faculty will be asked to assist in developing assessments to provide measureable outcomes of the program and report on these outcomes following the conclusion of the program in accordance with federal reporting standards.

Travel within the District (i.e., travel between work sites) is expected, and reimbursement for mileage at the current rate shall be given for such travel. In the event a student exits the program prior to the end of the semester or the faculty fails to complete the assignment, the stipend will be prorated based upon services rendered.
