    Thanks Nathan.

    The four eliminations are:

Bai; Engineering Technician Sr; Institute Poly Eng

Long; Engineering Technician Sr; Institute Poly Eng

Page; Engineering Technician Sr; Institute Poly Sci. John has indicated he will retire at the end of June (his email is attached).

Holtman; Asst to Dir, Eng; Institute Poly Eng. Mark has indicated he will retire at the end of June. (He told me this on March 11. We may have a written note from him at the office.)

For both of the retirees, as had been discussed previously, I told them that the end of June (not past the beginning of the new fiscal year) would be OK. I hope this is still correct.

This email is to confirm that Dean Amis may begin to move forward with his personnel changes within the College of PSPE (i.e., the re org) that weve all seen. Globally, I believe that it will result in a net 4 FTE increase albeit 4 FTE positions will be eliminated. As weve discussed Eric, follow a phased implementation approach and, pls respond back to those on this email the titles of the 4 positions that will be eliminated and, who currently fills each position. Amy/Amber, remove the 4 positions from the staffing table once received - its this portion of the email that is sensitive and should not be shared or discussed beyond those on this email. Nathan

Thanks for the emails today, very helpful.

Can you tell me the names of the people who reside in the positons that will be eliminated inDevelopment? For your ease, I copied the portion of your email from earlier immediately below:

    1 Part time Director/Annual Fund - $25,000 plus benefits

1 Part time Administrative Assistant - $15,000 plus benefits

1 Director of Development - $70,000 plus benefits

Have your Sarah concept too, thanks for keeping that one on the radar.

Nathan, I have sent you the information that I believe totals approximately $646,364 in savings. I needto talk to Wayne and Eileen about the additional Web Developer position.

Also, Sarah Steidl is the marketing position in Engineering that could be moved over to me and thenhave her work on the Law School as well as other things.

Let me know if you have any questions or a need for more information. Thanks. LB.

    2nd Version of cuts 052115.pdf

Hello, Nathan and Amy . . . Per my conversation with Nathan and Larry, there have been a couple of versions of names provided regarding

elimination as part of the cuts for Enrollment Management. The 1st attachment was based on the original list Nathan

showed to me from his notebook a couple of weeks ago. I then created this 1st attachment for Larry when he asked

about names for elimination. Today, a different list was provided to Larry. (2nd attachment) As Nathan requested, I am sending the following list of names which is a blend of some names from both lists. As Ioriginally mentioned to Nathan when he first showed me the names from admissions and shared with Larry a couple ofweeks ago, some of these colleagues were all part of our Enrollment Management Team until we transferred them overto the Registrar's Office (Division of Student Success) in March to become part of our new Processing Center. However, keep in mind that our budget hearing was in February and all of our financials reflected these individuals in ourEnrollment Management budget.

The following recommended cuts total $378,782 in total salary/fringes. ALL of these individualswere represented in our Enrollment Management financials presented at our February budgethearing. *Since four individuals are recently a part of the new processing center in the Registrars Office, you may want toreview/discuss with Registrar Ron Bowman. Again, all of these salaries were reflected in the Enrollment Managementfinancials at our February budget hearing.

Dear Amy, I was in Columbus yesterday and on my way back I received the message to provide any suggestedalternatives to the proposed BCAS cuts of approximately $198K in position dollars (proposed forelimination were the positions of Cyndee Snider and Michelle Collins) by today. We would like to retain Cyndee Snider because she:

    Works with various donors and patrons of the arts, and plays a key role in our outreach inthese areas;

Plays a key role in interacting with Dance Cleveland and will play a key role in promoting thenew Center for Choreography, and she will be a valuable asset in terms of taking advantageof this opportunity with local donors.

In order to retain Cyndee we propose the following alternative for your consideration:

Eliminate:o Michelle Collins ($118,734 with fringe)---as in the proposed reductionso Sandra Longenecker, Assistant to the Director in Music ($67,674 with fringe)

Reduce the hours of James Hofer (Chemical Storekeeper in Biology) to result in a reductionin compensation equivalent to the remainder ($11,619)

The details/ramifications of this option are not fully known due to the need to discuss it with theunit leadership at an appropriate time. Thanks Nathan, Ill look for those departments data. CAST and Wayne provide a base change ofaround $500k reduction beyond what was requested (per my previous emails). Supplementalrequests were defined but can remain on hold until the first phase is completed but I wanted you tohave those as well. There was no location for Supplemental for divisions that do not exist unless weput them in OAA. Amy, Amber or Denny can call me to walk through questions so you can pin this down. Ancillarydiscussions not needed for Monday can wait until you are ready. Let me know. Cell 330-730-2695. I am available anytime. TR

Todd, Please take a look at the attached. It appears that only $87k is in the FY16 budget for the PTtutors. So, eliminating all of them would only save that amount. They are all pool positions and thesalary amounts on the staffing table are inflated because I believe they are based on a certainnumber of hrs/week but the actual time worked is much less. Also, there are two retirements that were identified on the list. Since the salaries are included inthe base budget, you could cut those positions up front if you choose to.
