Geography of Jammu & KashmirGeographically,

Cuisine of Jammu and Kashmir

The cuisine of Kashmir is very rich. One of the famous meals of Kashmir is the Wazwan.

Wazwan is a formal meal to mark a special occasion.

The dessert is usually Phirni and Kahwah. Kahwah is the green tea, flavoured with saffron, cardamom and almonds.

Climate of Jammu & Kashmir

The climates of the various regions of Jammu and Kashmir are influenced mainly by position and altitude.

In the Vale of Kashmir, the summers are fresh and the nights are brisk. While, Kashmir is affected by the monsoons, Ladakh is never touched by the monsoons.

The best season to visit Jammu and Kashmir is between September and April.

Flora and Fauna of Jammu and KashmirThe flora of Himalayan Kashmir comprises

about 3,054 species. The flora of the Jammu district comprises

506 species.The fauna of Jammu and Kashmir is

diverse due to its unique location and climatic condition.

About 16% of the Indian mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and butterflies are presented in the state.

How to reach Jammu and KashmirThe road from Srinagar to Leh via Kargil is

a magnificent piece of engineering and the means by which most people travel between the two places.

The main railway station is located in Jammu which is well connected with various other North Indian states.

Jungfraujoch is a col between the Jungfrau and the Monch. It lies at a height of 3,466 meters above sea level in the Bernese Alps, on the boundary between the cantons of Bern and Valais, halfway between Interlaken and Fiesch.

UETLIBERG

The Uetliberg is a mountain in the Swiss plateau, part of the Albis chain, rising to 869 m. The Üetliberg offers a panoramic view of the entire city of Zurich and the Lake of Zurich. THE CHAPEL BRIDGE

Constructed in first half of the 14th century as a part of the city's fortifications and named after St. Peter's Chapel, which is located nearby.The paintings that were added in the 17th century illustrate scenes of Swiss and local history, including the biographies of the city's patron saints, St. Leodegar and St. Maurice.
