PET ADOPTIONS

SPAY-A-DAY KEEPS THE LITTER AWAY

• Free spay/neutering services provided to low-income residents at no cost

• You must apply using the Spay/Neuter grant application

• Pets who receive spay/neuter service must have current rabies vaccinations

• Pets who do not have current rabies vaccinations will receive them at no cost

COAL TAR SEALANT BAN

• Effective July 1, 2015

• Illegal to sell, use, or permit the use of coal tar products on property in Prince George’s County

• Violators are subject to a $1000 fine

• Help us prevent water pollution by:– Organizing your neighbors for support – Volunteering to stencil storm drains in

your neighborhood– Call DoE (301) 883-5829 to start your

project

Arbor Day Every Day provides schools with

native trees and shrubs for volunteer

plantings.

DoE increases the County’s tree canopy, educates our kids and

beautifies schoolyards.

CLEAN WATER PROGRAM

• Federal mandate, Watershed Protection & Restoration Program

• Allows Prince Georges County to revitalize, grow green, and create jobs

• You can receive up to a 100% reduction in your Clean Water fees based on retrofits or financial hardships

CLEAN WATER PARTNERSHIP• The Nations first public-

private partnership (P3) initiative called the Clean Water Partnership (CWP).

• Supports local job creation, minority business hiring and boost long-term economic growth, and provide career training and mentoring

• The County and Corvias will work to install rain barrels, stormwater filter devices and treat 15,000 acres of impermeable surface over a decade
