#MTMU is a series of challenges that engage the brightminds of public/private partners and communities todesign innovative education and training models thatcreate social equity and economic mobility for all. The first #MTMU challenge focuses on career pathwayinnovations for adult learners 26+ who do not have thecredentials and skills  they need to start or advance in acareer. 36 million adults in the United States do not havethe skills to get ahead and there are barriers to accessingfurther education and training they need to moveforward. The teams began to fine-tune their ideas at the #MTMUDesign Camp— a 2.5 day event where the semi-finalistsmet with coaches, learned from subject matter experts,and gained insights from other teams’ work.

ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 7TH each of the#MTMU teams will pitch their innovations. Thejudges as well as the live and virtual audience willbe scoring on three  key criteria: Capacity, Impact, &Ingenuity. A few questions they will consider: Capacity - Does the solution address pain pointsand the needs of their target student population andstakeholders? Impact - What level of social impact does the ideagenerate? Did the team validate their assumptionsby engaging adult learners? Ingenuity - Is the solution distinctive orfundamentally different from existing approaches?
