a message from the director

2017 was a year of tremendous growth for Apollo’s Adult Education division. Our unwavering determination to offer programs and services that will continue to meet the needs of workforce development for our community remains at the forefront of everything we do. Last year, we were excited to add Spa Technology and bringing back the Basic Police Academy to our lineup of programs.

As we move into this year, we continue to grow with the addition of three new programs; Network Cloud Technology, Dental Assisting, and Concrete Technology. The Network Cloud Technology program will allow the student to enter the world of IT with a firm knowledge base. This program offers the student the opportunity to obtain many in-demand credentials. Our Dental Assisting program at Apollo, allows the student to earn additional experience through an externship clinical experience. Concrete Technology is a combination program where the student earns a Class B CDL and gains experience in driving and operating a concrete truck.

These exciting new offerings have allowed us to provide a more diverse variety of programs to our community, helping to meet the workforce demands for the future.

Another exciting program we offer that is helping to change futures is the Adult Diploma program. This program, developed by the Ohio Department of Education for students 22 and older, gives individuals the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and a career credential. Apollo proudly saw over 50 graduates successfully complete the program last year and are on track to see more graduate this year.

Finally, Apollo is a great option if you’re interested in advancing your current skills or learning a completely new skill set. Our Special Interest and online classes give you a great opportunity to develop your skills in a short amount of time. We truly have something to offer everyone! For more information, please visit www.apollocareercenterotc.com or call 419-998-3000.
