ATTENTIONIn order to ensure longer life of the pressure gauge, after calibrating the sprayer, turn off thecontrol, thus releasing the pressure, and close the pressure gauge valve.

MASTERFLOW SPRAY CONTROLBesides providing great sensitiveness and precision in the adjustments, it has basic

functional characteristics in relation to conventional controls.- LEVERS OPERATIONThe levers can be operated through cables or electric switches.- FLOW PROPORTIONAL TO ROUTINGWithin a same working gear, even if the engine rotation is changed, the application rate per

area sprayed remains unchanged.- KEEPS THE SAME PRESSURE ALONG THE WHOLE BOOM REGARDLESS OF NUMBER

OF BOOM SECTIONS IN USEIt has a system that allows to calibrate the return of each boom section and keep constant

the pressure, regardless of the number of sections on or off.

DIFFERENT CONTROL OPTIONSYour equipment can be equipped with one of the following spray controls.

- MASTERFLOW spray control with cable actuation- MASTERFLOW spray control with cable actuation and JSC- MASTERFLOW spray control with electric actuation- MASTERFLOW spray control with electric actuation and JSC

The instructions for the control calibration are practically the same, except for turning on and offthe chemical flow to the booms, which can be made through cable or electric switch.

Identify in the figures below which is the control installed in your sprayer and proceed asdescribed in the section MAIN COMPONENTS OF SPRAYER - CALIBRATING THEMASTERFLOW SPRAY CONTROL.

NOTE: Once the boom section is calibrated, set the lever back. The pressure must be the sameas indicated previously on the pressure gauge (60psi), when this section nozzles are on.

- Repeat the same operation on the other boom sections in order to keep constant pressurealong the entire boom.ATTENTION: Do not change the engine rotation during the calibration. A change in the rotation willchange the pressure on the nozzles and therefore their flow rate.

CABLE CONTROL AND JSCTo calibrate the pressure on the control with the JSC, the procedures are the same, except for

pressure adjustment, which in this control is not manual but made through an electric system.

PRESSURE ADJUSTMENT:- With the pump running at 540 rpm

and the system energized, press theelectric switch until obtaining theworking pressure desired. For this operation, the "Automatic/Manual" switchof the JSC-5000 must beon the "Manual" position.

CLEAN WATER TANK

With the purpose of maintaining the sprayer and discarding chemical containers with safety,

the Advance 3000 has a 52.83-gallons clean water tank that allows to clean the sprayer chemical

circuit and the chemical containers. The chemical container rising occurs through a rinse nozzle

mounted inside the chemicals mixer.

- To use the water from this tank, set the bypass valve (A) turned to the clean water tank (B).

- Engage the tractor's PTO and keep the chemicals control setting to turn on the flow to the

nozzles.

- Attention to this operation because the tank will be drained in approximately 2

minutes and the lack of water in the pump can cause damage to its components.

- Then set the bypass valve back, leaving it turned to the main tank (C), since this is the

position used to spray.

ATTENTION:The water from this tank is not fit for drinking, or even washing hands, faces, tools, etc.It must be used only to clean the chemical circuit and to fill the chemical containers forthe final rinse.

CHOOSING THE TRACTOR

ATTENTION:In the above example, the recommended tractor should have minimal gross weightof 11,023.1 lb.

NOTE:The above values are used as an orientation. The correct values must be obtainedusing real data of your equipment.

CHOOSING THE TRACTOR CONSIDERING THE LOAD TO BE TRANSPORTED

Different working conditions lead us to adopt the following criterion for choosing the tractor:

- Check the sprayer weight on the identification plate.

- Check the tank capacity.

Ex.: Sprayer weight (Advance 3000 AM-18) = 4,409.24 lb

Tank capacity = 792.51 gallons

The tractor gross weight should be at least equal to the sprayer gross weight.

Ex.: Sprayer net weight (Advance 3000 AM-18) = 4,409.24 lb

Filled up tank = 792.51gallons (approximately

4,409.24 lb )

Sprayer gross weight = 11,023,1 lb

Tractor gross weight = 5000 kg or more.

For the sprayers with Vortex system (air assisted boom), also follow the table below that

indicate the ideal tractor to work with these sprayers which are provided with a fan and,

therefore, consume more power of the tractor's engine in relation to the ground declivity and

the working speed that will be developed.

This table is just indicative. The value related to the tractor's power can range in other

situations according to the tractor's weight, tire type, ground type among others.

OPERATION AND ADJUSTMENTSSPRAY APPLICATION TECHNOLOGY

A successful spray application does not depend only on a good sprayer or correct use ofthe chemicals but also on factors to be determined in the field under specialized orientation.

Among these factors, some concepts should be part of a criterion of evaluation so thatpositive results may be attained within the pest control program.

- Ideal time - Application rate- Safety - Good coverage

IDEAL TIMEThe ideal time for spraying should be chosen according to the chemical product characteristics,

as well as to the field conditions:

- Infestation level of pests, diseases and weeds;

- Infection level of diseases;

- Growing stage of weeds;

- Weather conditions.

SAFETYWhen spraying your crops, you must make sure there will be no risk to people, animals

and environment. Avoid spraying at hotter times, with humidity below 55% or under windyconditions. Do not allow the operator to handle chemicals and spraying machinery withoutthe proper individual protective clothing.

CORRECT APPLICATION RATEAny type of application requires that the rate be maintained during the whole spraying work.

This will be possible when you have a good sprayer properly calibrated.

This calibration can be obtained through practical methods or formulas. Please refer to thesection OPERATION AND ADJUSTMENTS - CALIBRATING THE SPRAYER.

GOOD COVERAGEYou have a good coverage when the whole target is sprayed with uniform distribution, with no

risk to the environment and with good results in the pest control.

The application rate does not have influence on the treatment results. Therefore good coveragescan be attained even with different rates, which may vary according to operational and regionalfactors.

IMPORTANT!READ CAREFULLY AND FOLLOW STRICTLY THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE

CHEMICALS MANUFACTURER'S LABEL.ALWAYS FOLLOW DIRECTIONS OF A TECHNICIAN WHEN HANDLING AND

APPLYING CHEMICALS.ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE SPRAYER IS IN GOOD OPERATIONAL CONDITIONS

BEFORE STARTING THE SPRAYING JOB AND EMPLOY A WELL TRAINEDOPERATOR.

GREAT PEFORMANCE UNDERDIFFERENT PRESSURES

The flat fan nozzles of series ADI-110 are specifically

designed for spray applications in locations or weather

in which where wind causes the droplets to drift.

The low drift nozzles of the series ADI-110 keep an

outstanding spray deposit and coverage pattern,

even under windy conditions.

In relation to the nozzles of series API-110, they

produce spray with 50% reduction in the quantity of

driftable droplets (that is, droplets below 100 microns

HIGH QUALITYSeries JA hollow cone nozzles are produced by processes developed for exacting markets of

mechanical engineering, space and aerospace industries. A special mold injection process makesa perfect orifice on the nozzles, giving better quality to the surface finish than that achieved bymachines. And the result is better coverage and more homogenous spraying.

These nozzles are approved by international quality standards, ensuring an outstanding spraycone uniformity and flow rate of nozzles.

HIGH WEAR RESISTANCEThe alumina-sintered nozzles are almost as hard as diamond and resist yet the most corrosive

products. This provides perfect stability for long time concerning all requirements such as flow rate, coverage and droplet size.

OPERATION AND ADJUSTMENTS

BEFORE CALIBRATING THE SPRAYER BE SURE:- suction filter is clean.-hoses are not twisted or bored.-pressure regulator components (valve seat, valve and spring) are not worn or dirty.- pump is properly lubricated (oil level and grease) and has no leakage.-nozzles are of the same model, not worn, with correct flow rate and with clean strainers.

AFTER CHECKING, PROCEED TO CALIBRATE AS FOLLOWS1 - Mark off 50 meters or 164.04 ft on the ground to be sprayer.2 - Fill up the sprayer.3 - Choose the working gear.4 - Engage the PTO.5 - Accelerate until reaching 540 rpm at the PTO.

CALIBRATING THE SPRAYER WITH THE CALIBRATOR BOTTLE

6 -Start moving at least 5 meters or 16.40 ft before the initial mark.7 -Note the time it takes the tractor to move 50 meters or 164.04 ft.8 -On irregular ground, repeat this operation several times and take the average.9 -Stop the tractor with the acceleration used to move the 50 meters, open the nozzles and adjust

the pressure according to directions for the different types of nozzles:- Cone nozzles : from 45 to 200 psi- Flat fan nozzles : from 15 to 60 psi

10 -Use the calibrator bottle to collect the nozzle spray volume during the same time taken to movethe 50 meters or 164.04 ft, and read on the column corresponding to the nozzle spacing.

12 -The average obtained will be the spray volume for the gear and pressure already determined.NOTE: 1-If the spray volume obtained is below that wished, increase the pressure, decrease the

speed (but keep 540 rpm at PTO) or replace the nozzles by others of higher flow rate.2-If the spray volume is above that wished, decrease the pressure, increase the speed

(but keep 540 rpm at PTO) or replace the nozzles by others of lower flow rate.

PROBABLE CAUSES SOLUTIONS

b - PRESSURE DEFICIENCY

The proper PTO rotation is 540 rpm.1- Low PTO rpm.

When the pumps runs, liquid will pass through the valve even in theclosed position, however flow will be insufficient.

The filter should be clean to allow free liquid flow.

A deficient pump will cause depressurization. Check whether thehose connecting the filter to the pump is twisted.Verify whether there is any obstruction in the hoses connecting thetank to the filter. Fill the tank with water, open the valve and observeif it flows freely.

Check the connections and the o'rings of the tank outlet and the pumpinlet.

Check whether the nozzle flow is within the recommendedguidelines.Replace the nozzles when the flow rate exceeds 10% of thespecified.Use only nozzles recommended by the sprayer manufacturer.

Check the valve and valve seat.

2- Filter shut-off valve closed.

3- Filter partially obstructed.

4- Intake hose partially obstructed.

5- Air in the system.

6- Pressure regulator.

7- Worn nozzles.

8- Pump with lower flow rate.

1- PTO not turning. The sprayer should be run with 540 rpm at PTO. Check visuallywhether the pump is being run.

To run the hydraulic system, it is necessary to contain a minimumquantity of liquid, otherwise there will be no pressure.

When the pump runs, liquid will pass through the valve even in theclosed position, however it will be insufficient. Open it.

Impurities in the filter prevent a free liquid flow. Clean the filterwhenever filling the tank, or with more frequency depending on thequality of the water and the type of product applied.

Check whether the hose connecting the filter to the pumpis twisted.Check whether there is any obstruction in the hoses from tankto filter. Fill up the tank with water, open the valve and verify ifit flows freely.

Check the filter packing ring. The filter should not leak.

Remove the cover of the suction valves.Check the condition of the valves and replace them if necessary.

3- Filter shut-off valve closed.

4- Dirty filter.

2- Lack of water in the tank.

5- Obstruction in the intake hoses.

6- Air in the system.

7- Insufficient pump suction.
