Introduction: The Siemens Group in India comprises of 13 companies, providing direct employment to over 19,000 persons. Currently, the group has 21 manufacturing plants, a wide network of Sales and Service offices across the country as well as over 500 channel partners. The Assignment: We were given an assignment to conduct a TWO DAYS WORKSHOP on “Advance Excel Skills” to employees of Siemens Ltd., on Aug 19th & 20th 2014. Some of the key points of this assignment are:

• To introduce various in-built features (that are untested by most of the participants) in Excel.

• To highlight how a combination of certain formulas and functions can do a task effectively. (Combining a formula with conditional formatting or with Data Validation and so on)

• To create an in-depth understanding on famous tools / functions like VLOOKUP, PIVOT TABLES, OFFSET etc.,

• To provide introduction about Macros and about creating Add-in files in Excel. Program content, delivery & feedback: We have developed a program content to address all the above tasks with the help of around 40 sample worksheets and close to about 10 exercises. Trainer explained each topic and provided a demo on how to do that task. It was immediately followed by hands-on experience for the participants in the exercise sheets so that they become conversant with the topics. The session was interactive and participants enjoyed the session. Eight out of 11 participants rated the program as “Excellent” while the other 3 rated the program as “Good”. We take pleasure in submitting the feedback from the participants about the program.
