Blogs have been found to:
Promote critical & analytical thinking
Encourage creative, intuitive, and
associative thinking
Promote analogical thinking
Increase access and exposure to quality
information
Combine the best of solitary reflection and
social interaction
In short – blogging helps your students
expand on what’s happening in class, relate
it to the real world, share their insights with
each other, and come away with a deeper
understanding and/or greater applications.
This is REAL WORLD learning!

We all know the most popular Wiki out there
Some love it, some hate it. Regardless of
OUR feelings, our students are using it!
WIKIPEDIA
What is the draw for this internet sensation?
Collaboration, the ability to change things,
and accountability. This creates skills that
promote a continual assessment of
information and revision skills.
This is REAL WORLD learning!
How can we utilize a took students already
use (and passionately defend) to encourage
their learning here?

Time is a precious commodity. As much as
we may wish we had time for oral
presentations in our classes, there often is
not time.
Writing skills are critical – but so are public
speaking skills. There are very few
professions that allow their worker bees to
be silent.
How can we make sure our students can both
write and speak intelligently?
Give your students a voice!
