ZAZ GPS – Overview
ZAZ GPS Powered by SG Connected Car is great way to keep you and your passengers connected wherever you cruise! ZAZ uses the GPS device in your car to track its location. It then communicates that information over a wireless network to our secure datacenter. You can view this information using our ZAZ App or by logging into ZAZGPS.com on your computer.
ZAZ tracks location information every 5-minutes when the vehicle is in motion. If your vehicle has been stopped for more than 10 minutes, you’ll see the last location where the vehicle was (or where you parked). If your car has been parked in one location for an extended amount of time, your ZAZ App will provide “update” location information every 24 hours. Once you use your car again, ZAZ will resume tracking the location of the car in 5-minute intervals. It’s that easy! And, if your car is out of cellular coverage, ZAZ will continue track your car’s location. It simply stores it until it’s within cellular coverage again.
With ZAZ, you always know where your car’s been and where to find it.

ZAZ GPS – Setting Up Alerts
Alerts are great if you want to know things like if your vehicle is moving when it shouldn’t be or if you’re looking to monitor speed or your car’s battery life for example.
Each alert is set to a default setting already. If you want to set up or edit alerts you can click the bell icon and then, select the alerts you wish to set or edit.
EDITING EXISTING ALERTSTo edit alerts, remove the check mark currently in the “Use defaults” box. You’ll also need to click the setting “ON”.
The Low Voltage Alerts will monitor your car’s battery voltage and send an email notification to you when the voltage falls below the threshold you set.
The Speed Alerts will monitor your car’s speed. Set a maximum speed. If your car speed exceeds that limit, you will get an email notification.
NOTE: ZAZ captures your car’s speed within it’s normal 5-minute interval tracking. This means your car must maintain a speed above your set threshold for a sustainable timeframe.
The Mileage Alert can be set to send you a notification when your car crosses a set mileage threshold.

What To Do If Your Car Is Stolen
If your car is hijacked or stolen, here are some helpful tips for what you should do:
CALL THE POLICEContact your local police department immediately to file a report. You typically need to provide them with the following information:
• Detail description of your car.• Vehicle Identification Number or (VIN) - Tip: pull from your car insurance policy)• License Plate Number• Driver’s License Number
Most likely, they will add your car information to nationwide records which will make it much harder for the thief to sell it or re-title it.
