Advanced Life Support (ALS-1) Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Accredited Rural Clinical School ALS-1 COURSE TERMS & CONDITIONS Registration to attend an ALS Course Aendence to an ALS Course will be made only once your online registraon has been completed, and confirmaon of placement on course has been received from the course centre. Places cannot be reserved without a formal Registraon Form. Priority will be given to Health Care Workers within the North West . Registraons to a course will close four weeks prior to the course. Payments Payment can be made by cash or eſtpos prior to aending course, unless other arrangements have been made with the course centre. No other modality of payment is ac- ceptable. Candidates may not commence program before payment has been received. Deferments Deferment of aendance advised via email a minimum two weeks prior to the scheduled course date will general- ly not incur a financial penalty. Cancellations Once manuals have been received, cancellaons will incur the cost of the manual. Cancellaons with less than 48 hoursnoce will include other course fees. The RCS may cancel planned courses at short noce. In the event of cancellaon by RCS, all course fees will be refunded. This precludes any other claims. ALS-1 COURSE TERMS & CONDITIONS

Registration to attend an ALS Course

Attendence to an ALS Course will be made only once your

online registration has been completed, and confirmation

of placement on course has been received from the

course centre. Places cannot be reserved without a formal

Registration Form. Priority will be given to Health Care

Workers within the North West . Registrations to a course

Payments

OUTCOMES

This course provides candidates with

training in the management, causes and

prevention of emergency situations

including:

Using a structured approach to

recognize, assessing and manage

the critically ill (ABCDE approach)

Airway management skills

Basic Life Support Skills

Defibrillation skills (manual and/or

AED)

ARC ALS algorithms to manage

cardiac arrest

Effective team member

participation in cardiac arrest

Successful program participants are

accredited as ALS-1 / ILS providers.

Certification is valid for 4 years and

recognized nationally , along with the

United Kingdom Resuscitation Council

(UKRC) and the New Zealand

Resuscitation Council (NZRC).

COURSE AIM

To provide candidates with the knowledge

and skills to manage cardiac arrest in initial

period, and other medical emergencies in

the clinical setting. Including assessment

and immediate management of the

deteriorating patient.

COURSE DETAILS

This course is suitable for Junior Doctors,

GP’s, registered nurses, paramedics, and

other health professionals.

The program will run over one day and
