• Delays in introducing 3G products & services are costly. – New technologies bring benefits to consumers,

producers, and the economy as a whole– Consumer benefit from today’s wireless telephone

services is estimated at $53–$111 billion – Consumer benefits from 3G services will likely be of

this order of magnitude
