PPE Solution PPE recommended EnDura® Z95X O-ringssupplied from stock in Aberdeen. In addition, newPTFE ball seats and PEEK wear seats weremanufactured using PPE’s rapid production service.

OutcomeThe time taken to solve the problem from initialcontact was just 4 hours, the critical seals weremanufactured, tested and delivered to the platformsaving the customer thousands of pounds inproduction downtime.

Problem A lack of adequate sealing and difficulties withpressure were making total containment impossiblefor the Valve manufacturer

PPE Solution PPE worked closely with the client on the design ofthe seal to optimize the valves total containmentperformance. PPE’s Perlast® G74Sperfluoroelastomer seal material was chosen dueto its combined high levels of chemical resistanceand flexibility.

OutcomeActive Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) powders cannow be transferred with less than 100 nano gramsof powder per m3 released into the atmospherefollowing a joint development between the valvemanufacturer and PPE.
