Applicants for any SSHRC grant may fund their projects by drawing on
complementary funding from other sources (cash and or/kind contributions).
In partnership funding opportunities at SSHRC a cash/and or in-kind
contribution from partners is expected.
In-kind contributions are non-monetary resources provided to support the
project.

Research Tools

• tools that facilitate access to holdings or collections,

Eligible expenses within grants
• Digitization: costs are eligible if integrated into a
research project
• Cost of developing web-based information, including
maintenance fees when related to dissemination of
research results.
All SSHRC-funded projects must have a
significant research component.
