Creation is meant to share in the peace He brings when the wolf shall be a guest of the lamb.(Isaiah 11:5) But above all, this peace is meant for our hearts: to be at peace in our relationship with God, with others and with ourselves. This Advent, as we prepare for the celebration of the birth of Jesus and his coming again, let us pray that we will experience and know the peace He came to bring. With faith in His words “This is my Body”, we come before Him and spend time in His presence. In the midst of the holiday rush, stop into the Chapel, slow down, and spend some quiet time with Jesus as He invites you to open your heart to Him and speak with Him in prayer or simply enjoy sitting in His presence. St. Vincent de Paul Christmas Giving Tree Program

You are invited to select from 850 gift tags as we do our small part to bring joy in the form of a gift to children at St. Wenceslaus in East Baltimore, St. Veronica’s in South Baltimore, t h e F r a n c i s c a n C e n t e r , Sarah’s Hope shelter for mothers and children, and Grassroots Shelter here in Howard County. Just take a gift tag or two f r o m t h e t r e e s i n t h e N a r t h e x on the weekend of Nov. 26/27 and follow the instructions found in the bulletin (and our website) and return your gifts (with the tag and yarn you took from the tree) to the Narthex no later than the 11:00am Mass on Sunday, Dec. 11!

Advent Family Festival at the Shrine of St. Anthony November 26th from 1 to 5pm.

The holiday season can get so busy so fast and go by without blinking so start this season off with your family and friends at the Shrine of St. Anthony. This event features hay rides, a build your own Advent wreath workshop, a ginger bread house making workshop, snacks and cider, a bon fire and more. There is no charge for this event but certain activities will accept donations. Please bring your friends and family! Monthly Eucharistic Festival of Praise

Friday, December 9 a t 7:30 pm We experience God’s joy, peace, love, healing, and mercy when we lift our hearts to Him in praise. Join us for our monthly Festival of Praise – an evening of prayer, praise, worship and adoration before Jesus in the gift of the Eucharistic. It’s an easy way to enter deeply into prayer as our musicians lead worship and we connect with Jesus who is truly present in the gift of the Eucharist. Join us for a wonderful and powerful evening of prayer!

“Greccio” Living Nativity at the Shrine of St. Anthony

December 10 and 11 at 7:30pm Join the Franciscan Friars at the Shrine of St. Anthony for the Greccio Living Nativity to celebrate the coming of the Christmas Season. The nativity scene is a deep tradition within the Franciscan Order dating back to when St. Francis popularized the Nativity Scene in a town called Greccio. The living Nativity a t S t . A n t h o n y S h r i n e is located at the hay barn and features carols, Adoration, and refreshments. There is no charge for this event. For more information please call (410) 531-2800.

Feast of the Immaculate Conception

Thursday, December 8 A Holy Day of Obligation

Three Masses will be celebrated: Wednesday, December 7 - 7:00pm Thursday, December 8 - 9:30am and 7:00pm The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception is celebrated each year on December 8 and is a holy day of obligation. This beautiful feast celebrates one of God’s greatest works: the conception of Mary without sin in the womb of her mother, St. Ann. In preserving Mary from the stain of sin, the Lord prepared her for the special role she would have as the mother of Christ our Savior. This feast is a wonderful prelude to our Christmas celebrations.

OLPH Christmas Concert Friday, December 16 at 7:30pm

With Christmas just a little more than a week away, we invite you to an evening of Christmas Hymns, Carols and holiday classics to help move our hearts to a joyful place. The evening will feature a number of local musicians and include a wide array of selections and musical styles including: bluegrass, pop, contemporary worship, traditional carols and new spins on old favorites. Bring the entire family to the Parish Center gym for a fun and joyful evening, including homemade Christmas cookies!!
