ADVENTureChristmas time can be exhausting. Shopping, socialising, money worries and busy lives can all add up to make it a really stressful time. That’s why we do ADVENTure. We hope that this will be a chance for you to rest, pray and spend some time with God. Tonight was planned and organised by young Catholics from local parishes in and around Clydebank because we care about our faith and this special time of the year when we prepare, and wait, for Christ. We are delighted you have come to join us. Welcome!

Rest. Pray. Hope.Here are some things you might

like to do while you are here:

Adoration.The consecrated Host is displayed on the altar. This means Christ is present and with us right now. Spend time sitting with Him; tell Him your hopes, your worries and the things on your mind.

Light a candle. There are candles on the altar that haven’t been lit yet. We invite you to come down and light one; perhaps for a friend or someone you would like to pray for.

Confession. The sacrament of reconciliation (confession) is available during ADVENTure. Take the chance to make a new start tonight. The confession room is on the right of the church, and the priest will guide you through things if it’s been a while since you last went to confession.

Write a prayer. We invite you to use the paper and pen to write a prayer and leave it with the others at the front of the altar. Maybe there are things in your life that you’d like to ask for God’s guidance with or say thank you for.

Just rest. It’s wonderful that you have taken time out of your busy life to come here tonight. God already knows what’s in your heart. Be still and rest.
