MISSIONS COMPLETE!

MAY 2011 newsletter

Welcome to the April edition of the Adventure Eyes Newsletter. As ever, so much to report, so where to start?! How about two monstrous adventures with fantastic outcomes!

Theyʼve only gone and done it! Adventure Eyes Member, Tim Mosedale and the BigE 2011 team have completed the mammoth ascent and descent of the worldʼs highest Mountain! This makes Tim the tenth Britʼ ever to have successfully climbed Everest from both the North and the South sides.

Tim is now safely at home on British soil after a gruelling couple of months of travelling, organising and climbing! Massive congratulations go to Tim and the rest of the BigE 2011 team and all who helped to make it happen.

And this is not the only success to report. The month of April has brought more Adventures to our eyes with the completion of the Coast to Coast walk by Adventure Eyes Member Judy Whiteside and Gail Todd. The Twirlies on Tour gals have raised over £3000 pounds for Mountain Rescue! Another impressive feat.

Burning questions! Weʼve certainly got our fair share of questions for these intrepid adventurers, but we want you to have your say too. We will be interviewing both Tim Mosedale and Judy Whiteside in the coming weeks and we would love to include any questions that you may have. Check out the Adventure Eyes Forum for questions already posed. You can also email through any questions you have. So get thinking!

Now from two big events to even more! Adventure Eyes has now got a comprehensive nationwide coverage of adventure related events and festivals for visitors to feast their eyes upon this summer. The UK Events page has the usual search by area option but it also has an easy to read calendar to help you plan out where to be over the coming months. From Bog Snorkeling in South Wales to the Atlantic Water Sports Games in North Devon, Adventure Eyes has selected some little gems for your summer. Head to the Adventure Search on the Main Adventure Eyes web site for more details.

Our Newsfeed has also grown! Having received a high number of events and special offers to publish we have decided to expand our Newsfeed facility to include a dedicated NEWS page on the main site. This will house any news relevant to Adventure Eyes, including our partner businessesʼ special offers, event updates, and any other news from the Adventure Eyes group that you need to know!

Now for some home grown adventure! From watching and supporting others epic journeys Adventure Eyes is pleased to announce their very own adventurer Kate Ryley and two Adventure Eyes members Sian Belfield and Emily Morrissey are to take on their own journey of endurance in the coming months. These gals will be taking on the ride of their summer from Lands End to John O Groats. With support and sponsorship from the rest of the Adventure Eyes team and Dartmoor Cycles the ladies will be raising money for Mountain Rescue.

Dartmoor cycles (DC) are playing a key role in helping this event to happen, so many thanks to Derek and Joe for all their help and support so far. Check out the Adventure Eyes main site for special offers on bikes and gear from DC and remember to mention us on purchase otherwise you wonʼt receive your discount!

The Adventure Information Packs are here! The publication of the Adventure Eyes Information Packs will start this week with ʻClimbing in Cornwallʼ. Suggestions on where to go, where to stay, classic routes, maps and much more will all be available for you to download from the Adventure Eyes main site. All will be freely available but obviously it would be marvelous if you fancied giving a small (or large!) donation to Mountain Rescue!

Finally, thanks once again to all who have chosen to be part of Adventure Eyes. Itʼs great to have you all on board!

Until next time...adventure-eyes.com
