Store Dockage Reference WeightPlace the container on the pan and tare by pressing theON O/T button. The tare weight is stored in memory.

Fill the container with sample material and press the % button. If the current weight is less than the minimum allowedreference weight (10 grams), the secondary displayalternates between “MIN WT ERR” and “NOT STORED” twicewhile returning to current mode. The scale then returns to the previous mode if the minimumweight is not accepted as shown.

If the sample weight is greater than or equal to 10 grams, the sample weight is established asthe Dockage Reference weight and is stored in memory as the 100% reference weight for thedockage calculation. Additionally, the tare weight is stored in memory as the dockage tareweight. With the sample still on the pan, the primary display shows 100.00 if Positive Dockageis selected in the Dockage menu. If Negative Dockage is selected, the primary display shows0.00. The user can process the sample to remove any undesirable material. After processing, the user will place the container back on the pan, and the display will read the dockage value.

The % display icon indicates percent and the MEM icon indicates a dockage reference weightis stored in memory. A display icon also annunciates stability. The secondary display shows+DOCKAGE or -DOCKAGE.

3.7.1 Calibration

Adventurer Pro Grain Test Scale offer a choice of three calibration methods: Span Calibration,Linearity Calibration and Calibration TestTM.

• SpanSpanSpanSpanSpan - Span calibration ensures that the scale reads correctly withinspecifications using two weight values: zero and a weight valuebetween 25% and 100% of the scale’s capacity.

• LinearityLinearityLinearityLinearityLinearity - Linearity calibration minimizes deviation between actual and displayedweights within the scale’s weighing range. Three weight values areused: zero, a weight value at midpoint of the scale's weighing range, and a weight value at or near the scale’s specified capacity.

• Cal Test Cal Test Cal Test Cal Test Cal Test - Calibration test allows the stored calibration data to be tested against thecurrent mass being used for the test.

Notes: Calibration may be locked out to prevent unauthorized personnel from changingcalibration.

Before beginning calibration, have masses available. Masses required for calibrationare listed in the table in section 3.7.2. Default Span Calibration Points are shown inBold print.
