ADVERBS• An adverb is a single word or a
phrase that tells us more about a verb. There are adverbs of:
• Manner• Frequency• Time • Degree
Adverbs of manner
– FORM:
1.-to make to make an adverb of manner we often add –ly to the adjective.
Adjective adverb Quiet quietly2.-some adverbs of manner are irregular. Adjective adverb. good well3.-some adverbs of manner as the same as their adjectives.
• Adverbs of manner describe how we do something.
Adjective adverb.-Alex is a quiet worker -alex works quietly.
Adverbs of time
• FormSome adverbs of time are:-yesterday-this week - tomorrow-last week -next week -the other day-today -at the moment –tonight-late -early.
USE• Adverbs of time tell us when something
happened, happens or will happen.• Example:I will see you tomorrowGreg came last week
ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY• Form1.-Some single word adverbs or frequency are:-Always -often -sometimes -seldom -usually -never –regularly -rarely-frequently -ocasionally -generally
• 2.-some adverbial phrases of frequency are:-every day -every week -every month
-every morning.
USE
1.-adverbs of frequency tell us how often something happens.
2.-we usually use adverbs of frequency with simple tenses,not progressive tenses.
3.-we use a positive verb with never

• Adverbs of place tell us where something happens,happened or will happen.
