Kho-Kho, Triathlon, Badminton, Volleyball, Basket-ball, Football, Kabaddi, Hockey and Cricket. Applicants may note that in order to claim any relaxation in the eligibility criteria on the basis of Sports Certificates, the certificates must be in the format prescribed (Annexure B & C) also available in the Standing Order No. 212/2016 issued by Delhi Police HQ vide No. 3095-3245/HAR-PHQ dated 28.06.16.
NOTE-2: Wards of serving/retired/deceased personnel including Multi Tasking Staff
(formerly group „D‟ employees) of Delhi Police shall be required to produce certificate in the
prescribed format issued by DCP/Addl. DCP/ACP (HQ) of the District/Units where the
police personnel including Multi Tasking Staff (formerly group „D‟ employees) of Delhi
Police had served last at the time of PE & MT as per proforma at Annexure- „D‟ for
appearing in test provisionally.
NOTE-3: The relaxation given to the wards of Delhi Police Personnel will be extended to
the wards of only those Delhi Police Personnel/Multi Tasking Staff (formerly group-D
employees) who have not been awarded the punishment of dismissal, removal or
compulsory retirement by way of penalty. The wards of Delhi Police Personal will not be
entitled to get double relaxation. They can avail relaxation in their own category or as a
ward of Delhi Police Personnel & group –D employees. (For more details, please go

2. DEFINITION OF EX-SERVICEMEN MEANT FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLES (EXE)
MALE
The definition of Ex-servicemen as defined in Govt. of India. Ministry of Personnel, Public
Grievances & Pensions, Department of Personnel & Training, New Delhi‟s O.M. No.
36034/5/85 Estt.(SCT) dated 14-4-1987 is given as under.
“An ex-serviceman means a person, who has served in any rank whether as a Combatant
or non-combatant in the Regular Army, Navy and Air Force of the Indian Union.
i) Who retired from such service after earning his/her pension: or
ii) Whose discharge book has the endorsement of Ex-servicemen: or
iii) Who has been released from such service on medical grounds attributable to military
service or circumstances beyond his control and awarded medical or other disability
pension; or
iv) Who has been released, otherwise than on his own request from such service as a
result of reduction in establishment; or
v) Who has been released from such service after completing the specific period of
engagements Otherwise than at his own request or by way of dismissal or discharge
on account of misconduct of inefficiency and has been given a gratuity; and includes
personnel of the territorial army of following categories, namely:-
a) Pension holders for continuous embodied service.
b) Persons with disability attributable to military service
c) Gallantry award winners.
The Territorial Army personnel will however be treated as ex-servicemen w.e.f
15.11.1986.

Ex-servicemen who are paid from Central revenues are eligible to be re-enlisted as
Constable at the discretion of the appointing authority if their discharge certificates
shows as good or of higher classification/grading. Provided that:
i) They present themselves within two years of their previous discharge.
ii) They conform to the educational standards laid down for recruits from open
market, and quality such endurance/efficiency test as prescribed by the
Commissioner of Police, from time to time by issuing necessary Standing
Orders.
iii) They are medically fit for police service according to standards prescribed for
recruits and
iv) Age concession shall be allowed to them in accordance with the
orders/instructions on the subject issued by the Central Government from time to
time. They will be permitted to deduct the period service in the armed forces from
their actual age and the resultant age so derived, should not exceed the
prescribed age limits by more than three years.
NOTE 1: Ex-servicemen who have already secured employment under Central
Government in Group „C‟ & „D‟ posts on regular basis after availing of the
benefits of reservation given to ex-Servicemen for their reemployment are NOT
eligible for fee concession or for claiming benefits of reservation under Ex-
servicemen category. However, they are eligible for the age relaxation only.
NOTE 2: The period of “Call up Service” of an Ex-serviceman in the armed Forces shall
also be treated as service rendered in the Armed Forces for purpose of age
relaxation.
NOTE 3: For any serviceman of the three Armed Forces of the Union to be treated as Ex-
Serviceman for the purpose of securing the benefits of reservation, he must have
already acquired, at the relevant time of submitting his application for the
Post/Service, the status of ex-serviceman and or is in a position to establish his
acquired entitlement by documentary evidence from the competent authority that
he would complete specified term of engagement from the Armed Forces within
the stipulated period of one year from the closing date of the application form.
EXPLANATION
The persons serving in the Armed Forces of the Union, who on retirement
from service, would come under the category of „Ex-Serviceman” may be permitted
to apply for re-employment one year before the completion of the specified terms of
engagement and avail themselves of all concession available to Ex-Servicemen but
shall not be permitted to leave the uniform until they complete the specified term of
engagement in the Armed Forces of Union.
3.EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION(AT THE TIME OF FILLING OF APPLICATION
FORM):-
i). 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
ii). 11th Pass for Delhi Police Wards.

4.PHYSICAL ENDURANCE & MEASUREMENT TEST (PE & MT):- The short listed candidates whose application/documents are found in order in all respects will be put through PE & MT in the following events.

Note:
i. Those who qualify in the race will be eligible to appear in the long jump and those who qualify long jump will be eligible for the high jump.
ii. Three chances each shall be given in long jump and high jump for qualifying the event. iii. There shall be no appeal against disqualification in race, long jump & high jump. iv. The PE & MT will be of qualifying in nature. However, candidates who do not meet the
minimum qualifying standards in any of the above events shall be treated as “not qualified” for the written examination.
5. PHYSICAL STANDARDS:

Those candidates who are declared not qualified in Physical Standards, i.e. height and
chest, may prefer an appeal, if they so desire, to the appellate authority present on the PE
& MT ground on the same day. The decision of the appellate authority will be final and no
further appeal or representation in this regard will be entertained.
6. REQUIREMENT OF DRIVING LICENSE:
Hon‟ble Lt. Governor, Delhi has accorded one time relaxation to the candidates from North-East States in the essential requirement of having valid driving license for LMV (Motorcycle/car) for recruitment of Constable (Exe.) Male in Delhi Police to be recruited through Special Recruitment Drive- 2018 subject to the condition that valid driving license shall be obtained within one year of the appointment.
7. MEDICAL STANDARD FOR CONST.(EXE.) FEMALE :

i) The minimum distant vision should be 6/12 of two eyes (without glasses) and shall be free
from colour blindness.
ii) Candidates who have undergone Lasik surgery for improvement of their vision (Eye
Sight) will be eligible if their vision (Eye Sight) is found normal after the conduct of the
following tests at the Govt. Hospital:-
1. Contrast sensitivity.
2. Dim light vision(Mesopic vision)
3. Glare acuity
(iii) The candidate must not have knock knees, flat foot, varicose vein, loss or deformity of
fingers & chest and joints, Halux valgus, halux rigidus, squint in eyes, bow legs and
other deformity including loss of any part of body.
(iv) The candidates should be of sound state of health, free from defect, deformity or
disease likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties. No relaxation is
allowed to any category of candidates on this count.
8. WRITTEN TEST FOR THE POST OF CONSTBALE (EXE) MALE/FEMALE:-
All candidates, who qualify the Physical Endurance & Measurement Tests, shall be
put through a written test of one and half hour (11/2) duration which will carry 100 marks.
The question paper will have 100 questions and will be of objective type and will include
questions on Reasoning [35 Marks], General Knowledge/ Current Affairs [50 Marks] and
Numerical Ability [15 Marks]. The question paper will be bilingual (English and Hindi).
9. MERIT LIST:-
The final merit list of the selected candidates will be made on the basis of overall marks
secured in the written test.
10. CHECKING OF ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS/CERTIFICATES :
All the candidates, are required to bring their original documents/certificates at the
time of Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE & MT), pertaining to age,
education, caste, wards certificate issued to wards (sons of Delhi Police personnel, and
sports certificate for the candidates seeking age relaxation along with self attested
photocopies of all the documents/certificates. The candidates already in Govt. service will
also submit NOC at the time of PE&MT.
11. MODE OF FILLING UP OF APPLICATION FORMS
i). The application form should be filled up in “ENGLISH” only with a BLUE BALL POINT
PEN.
ii). A recent colored passport size (35 mm x 45mm) photograph, in red background, with
name of the applicant and date of photograph, at the bottom, should be firmly affixed at
the appropriate place in the Application Form. Five identical passport size (35 mm x
45mm) photographs shall also be attached with the Application Form.
iii). Applicants will have to deposit a fee (NON REFUNDABLE)of Rs. 300/- (in cash or by
Demand Draft) along with the filled up application form. The demand draft shall be in
favor of DCP/Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines, Delhi (Payable at Delhi) which
should be valid for 06 months. However, no fee is to be deposited by APST and

Women candidates as well as by Ex-servicemen applicants provided they
produce a copy of discharge book or NOC. However, in order to get this exemption,
Male APST candidates will have to attach self attested photocopy of their APST
certificate along with the application form.
iv). Applicants must enclose a self addressed (in English only) envelope (8 inch by 5 inch) affixed with Rs. 10/- postage stamp along with the filled up application form.
v). All applicants must enclose self attested photocopies of their Permanent Resident Certificate, age proof certificate, educational proof certificate, APST certificates and sports certificate etc. along with the filled up application form.
vi).Before filling up the Application Form, the candidates are advised to carefully go through
the instructions given in the advertisement/website.
vii).The candidates, seeking age relaxation on sports basis must note that the Sports
certificate should be of preceding three years and the issuing sports federation
conducting the National/International Championship should be affiliated with State/Indian
Olympic Association. The candidates will be required to produce original copy of Sports
Certificate at the time of PE&MT and will also attach self attested photocopy of the same
with Application Form. Candidates must note that Sports Certificate must be as per
proforma at Annexure - B & C.
Note: Those sending their filled application form by post shall only enclose demand
draft for application fee. Cash will only be deposited at the above center in case
the forms are deposited by hand.
12. INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING UP THE APPLICATION FORM FOR THE POST OF
CONSTBALE (EXE.) MALE/ FEMALE:
a. The application form should be filled up in English only.
b. Fill up the application form and tick the right choice by ball point pen only
c. The numbers given below refer to the serial numbers of the items in the application form.
(1).Name of Applicant: The candidate should write her name in appropriate manner in the
box.
(2).Father's Name: The candidate should write her Father's Name in the specified box.
(3). Mother‟s Name : The candidate should write her Mother‟s name in the specified box.
(4).Husband‟s Name : The candidate should write her Husband‟s name in the specified
box.
(5).Complete Mailing Address with Name: Candidate needs to write his name and
complete postal address (House No./ Mohalla/street/locality/colony/ Post Office/Pin
Code, District, State) along with telephone number, mobile number and email address (if
any).
(6). Gender: Candidate should tick (√) the right box.

(8).Photo : Affix firmly a passport size (4cm x 5cm) colored photograph with name of the
applicant in capital letters and date (on which the photograph was taken), at the bottom
of the photograph. The photograph must have been taken on or after 01.07.2018 in red
background. The photo should be pasted, not pinned or stapled. The photograph should
not be taken wearing a cap or goggles or any other headgear etc.
(9).Applicant‟s Signature: The candidate must sign in full in the two spaces provided in
the form. The candidate should sign strictly within the box provided for. Please ensure
the signatures are made at column No. 7 and at the bottom of the application form.
Example: - If candidate belongs to “Hindu”, the box against “Hindu” should be tick
marked as (√).
(10).Category: Candidate should Tick (√) the right category to which she belongs.
Example : If candidate belongs to general category, the box against “General” category
should be tick marked as (√).
(11).Other Category: Candidate should Tick (√) the right category to which she belongs
and write the relevant dates in the boxes provided.
(12). Sports person: Candidate should Tick (√) either “Yes” or “No”.
(13). Date of birth: Candidate should enter his date of birth in the box e.g date-month-year
(dd/mm/yyyy).
(14). Age as on 01.07.2018: Write the total age in the box as on 01.07.2018.
(15). Educational Qualification : Candidate should tick (√) the right standard of education
which he has passed.
Example : If candidate has passed XIIth, box against “XIIth” should be tick marked
as (√).
(16).Mode of Payment: Applicant should Tick (√) mode of payment Cash or Demand Draft
(DD), write the details of Demand Draft, Name of issuing bank and date of issue of
draft. The candidate must also write his/her name, date of birth and address at the back
of Demand/Bank Draft drawn in favor of DCP/Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines,
Delhi,(Payble at Delhi) valid for six months, otherwise application form will be rejected.

Note: If a criminal case/criminal complaint case is/are registered/pending in any court
against the candidate and if she was arrested, detained, discharged, acquitted,
convicted, fined or summoned by court or police in criminal case etc. subsequent to
the submission of form, relevant details regarding the same should be communicated
by the candidate immediately to the DCP/ Recruitment Cell, New Police Lines,
Kingsway Camp, Delhi, failing which it shall be deemed to be suppression of factual
information which may lead to cancellation of candidature at a later stage.

14. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
i). Application forms will be rejected if they are:
a) not accompanied with PRC of Arunachal Pradesh (Permanent Resident Certificate of
Arunachal Pradesh), APST Certificate or other certificate for seeking relaxation,
documents of age proof, educational qualification etc.
b). Incomplete
c).Without self attested copy of all relevant documents.
d). Without the prescribed Fee. (Except Exempted Candidates)
d). Without 05 latest photograph.
e). Application form is not signed by the candidate.
f). If application form received in duplicate.
ii).Admit Cards for PE&MT will be sent to the shortlisted candidates through post. Admit
Card Number wise schedule & timings of PE & MT will also be uploaded on the website
of Arunachal Police i.e. www.arunpol.nic.in before November 15th, 2018.
iii).Applicants must enclose a self addressed (in English only) envelope (8 inch X 5 inch)
affixed with Rs. 10/- postage stamp along with the filled application form.
iv). Candidates who do not receive their PE&MT admit card by November 23rd, 2018 can
collect their admit cards from Delhi Police Help Desk, Academy Building, Office of
The Principal, Police Training Center, Bandardewa, District-Papum Pare,
Arunachal Pradesh-791123 during office hours of any working day on or before their
respective dates of PE&MT.
v). Being called for medical examination or being subject to police verification will in no way give
any legal claim or right to any candidate for being finally appointed.
vi).If there is any variation in the interpretation of words/ instructions, the English version
will prevail and the decision of Delhi Police Headquarters will be final.
vii).Candidates already employed with Govt. can apply after intimating their Head of
Office/Department and need not send another copy through proper channel. An
undertaking to this effect should be enclosed with the application form. They will have to
provide N.O.C. from their department at the time of checking of documents.

viii).If ineligibility of a candidate is detected at any stage, his candidature will be cancelled
without any prior notice.
ix). The candidate must be sure of his/her height and educational qualification, which
should conform to the minimum standards laid down.
x). Any change in the schedule already announced would be announced through suitable
means of communication.
xi).Candidates should mention his Roll No. on the application while making any
correspondence with the Chairman, Recruitment Board, Arunachal Pradesh, It should

xii). Candidates shall bring their original documents/certificates along with their self attested

after the PE&MT at the ground itself.

15. JURISDICTION OF COURT: Any dispute arising out of or related to this recruitment process
shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Courts at Delhi.
