Subject: Reference Materials and Subject Matter Date: 6/9/00 AC No: 60-25D Knowledge Codes for Airman Knowledge Testing Initiated by: AFS-630 Change:
1. PURPOSE. Appendixes 1 and 2 of this advisory circular contain the listings of reference materials and subjectmatter knowledge codes for airman knowledge testing. Appendix 1 includes codes for pilots, instructors, flight engineers, dispatchers, navigators, pilot examiners, inspection authorization, and parachute riggers. Appendix 2 includes codesfor aircraft mechanics.
2. CANCELLATION. AC 60-25C, Reference Materials and Subject Matter Knowledge Codes for AirmanKnowledge Testing, dated 8/23/99, is canceled.
3. GENERAL. The listings of reference materials and subject matter knowledge codes have been prepared by theFederal Aviation Administration (FAA) to establish specific references for all knowledge standards. The listingscontain reference materials to be used when preparing for all airman knowledge tests. The subject matter knowledgecodes should be referred to when reviewing areas of deficiency on airman knowledge test reports.
4. HOW TO OBTAIN ELECTRONICALLY. The subject matter knowledge codes, some of the reference materialslisted, and knowledge test guides specific to each certification testing level can be obtained from the RegulatorySupport Division’s web site at http://afs600.faa.gov.
