This month we had special guests involved with our activities. Our LFSF sports teams had an outstanding month performing well on the field and on the court. Both our Camp Asia and Into the Wild Fall camps were a huge success with positive feedback from both parents/students and staff. We also hosted a successful Rugby World Cup Final screening on Saturday 31st with over 100 participants from our community. The department also announced the upcoming JIJ to our grade 9/10 students to be held in Singapore, June 2016 and confirmed our participation in the TREFLE Rugby World Cup event for our 4th,5th and 6th graders to be held in Casablanca, Morocco in May 2016.

BASEBALL

The baseball class has been enjoying the warm days and dry field this month by improving the 4 major skill sets for this sport: Running, throwing, fielding (catching), and hitting. Technique in each category is imperative to grow in the sport. As a team sport, your catch is only as good as your teammate's throw. We practice hand positions, footwork and body alignment to improve accuracy and make the game fun for all on the field. We do timed runs around the bases to help improve lines and running technique. Most of all, we end each practice with a quick game where each player gets at least two at-bats.

Sausalito Campus

The focal point at this age group is for your child to become comfortable with the ball by developing soccer skills such as dribbling, shooting and the introduction of passing. Every 4-5 year old Super Soccer Stars class includes dynamic activities, which involve dribbling technique and moves to promote confidence with the ball. The primary focus for this age group is body movement with the ball and your child will be introduced to juggling and other skill building activities. The concepts of teammates and teamwork are also introduced. VENEZ ESSAYER LA SESSION PROCHAINE!

This month in Play-Well's Mind, Craft, Build Lego class we have completed the following projects. Boat, Biomes, A Steve, Non-Motorized Tanks, Mining & Mine Carts, Trading Post & Village, Haunted House. Free Build included a pyramid, villages, creeper, mobs and space ships.

In our Yoga classes this month we learned a number of animal poses, went on imaginary travel to the moon with our magic carpet, we visited many cultures and made make believe sushi and pizza ... We learned to pay attention to our friends when they talked and while we did team poses, we noticed the sounds around us and we got stronger by practicing frog and spider poses.

Soccer

U5/6

Another Fall season is wrapping up for Soccer! As the season approaches its end, one of the most important things we can take out of it besides all the learning and fun, is the level of each team. Team U7 has proved to be a strong, committed group of players, and will move to Boys advanced division for Winter and Spring. All teams have shown progress in their skills and abilities, and teams U8,U9 and U10 are bound to become a strong group of athletes for future leagues in Middle School. We have a couple of new players joining some teams and also a new assistant coach for Team U7 : Coach Alon Moshonov. Be ready for the next newsletter, where we’ll disclose the most committed players of this season!

More info on the next Winter Camps coming soon!

IT’s CAMPING TIME! CAMP ASIA PreK

INTO THE WILD The camp Into the Wild was a great success! The children were very excited about all the discoveries throughout the week. From watching birds on Crissy field to walking under bat rays and sharks at the aquarium of the bay. Children were introduced to riding horses in Olema and were able to hike and camp under the woods in China Camp State park. On the campus, we created a beautiful mural all bout the local wild life, a big mobile with origami local creatures and we got to have our own nature booklet. We finished the camp with a super fun treasure hunt!

Japonais.
