After we complete a culture you will have until the beginning of the next class period to finish your Journal entries. These deadlines will be announced in class so attendance is critical to success. Any late entries will not be considered. You will receive 20 points per entry, for 100 points possible. These writings are meant to help you understand the time periods through your own synthesis of the information learned. You must summarize two main points of the time period and using one piece of art we covered in class, discuss its purpose and why it fits into your description of the time. The only materials that can be used for this assignment are your lecture notes and textbook. If outside materials are used, you will be penalized 5 points off your final grade. Your answers must be detailed, proofread and use proper essay format. Adequate entries should equal a word count between 600-800 words or more. There will be no extra credit for extra entries. All entries are final and cannot be rewritten. All entries must also be submitted through SafeAssignment for plagiarism purposes. You will receive a deduction of 5 points per post is this step is not completed. You are responsible for keeping these writings in a separate Word document if you wish to refer back to them or in case there is a technical difficulty with Blackboard. Any technical difficulties involving Blackboard must be addressed
