MADE FROM AFRICA AFRICA IN A BOTTLE Made from the fruit of the sacred Marula tree that grows wild and uncultivated in the subequatorial regions of Africa. Handpicked by local communities, naturally fermented and distilled in copper pot stills, the spirit is matured for 2 years in aged oak barrels, which imparts the wood spice characteristics of vanilla and caramel naturally enhanced by the addition of cream, to create a rich and velvety smooth taste. Each bottle is a piece of Africa, made to be savoured. A TRULY GLOBAL BRAND Africa’s most awarded cream liqueur with quality at its core since 1983, now enjoyed in more than 100 countries. 18 international spirit awards including the annual Gold Liqueur Masters Award at the Global Spirits Masters competition, and celebrated for community initiatives as the winner of the Brand of the Year award from the World Branding Forum. THE AMARULA TRUST Intimately connected to the elephants through shared African roots and the wild Marula trees that bear fruit just once a year at the height of summer. When the elephants begin their journey to feast on the sun-ripened fruit, it is time to begin the harvest. The Amarula Trust was created in 2002 as a non-profit organisation, raising funds with the aim of protecting Africa’s giants. THE BOTTLE The shape of an African elephant’s tusks are sculpted into the bottle. This is inspired by Africa’s majestic elephants who are known to walk for miles just to taste the ripe Marula fruit. Every bottle of Amarula features a distinctive tassel made by the hands of dedicated and empowered African women. COLOUR AND TASTE Light caramel colour. Rich and velvety smooth taste with hints of vanilla and caramel and the exotic, natural Marula fruit. CHARACTERISTICS Distinctive, well rounded and creamy in texture and taste and versatile in terms of mixability. Enjoy neat, with ice, infused in cocktails, or added to hot drinks like coffee, tea and hot chocolate. ALCOHOL 17% SHELF LIFE Store between 5°C – 25°C (41°F – 77°F) for 24 months. Consume within 6 months after opening.
