An overview

Go to www.africapresslist.com, click “client login”

At this page you login with the login details that you have entered when you registered. You can enter either your username or email-address and your password. If you have forgotten your password, you can click “forgot

password” to get a new password.

If your login is succesfull, you will see your dashboard as a client. Other tutorials are available: How to manage and create distribution lists

Your dashboard gives you an overview of your account, as to your profile, your financials, your -lists and the press releases that you have sent

If you click the red button “press releases”, you will open a detailed list of your press releases

If you click the blue button “detail” at the right of the press release, you get an overview of the performance of the press release; how many time the press release mail has been opened, clicked etc. This function works until

30 days after the press relase has been sent.

At my financials, you will see an overview of the credits that have been used, any refunds for bounced emails and purchases of credits.

You can click “select or make a press release” or “new press releases” at the top of the screen or at the left vertical bar. The screen that appears or the menu that gives you more options provide you the possibility to

click “create new press release”.

The screen that appears after clicking “new press release” provides for several templates with which you can make a good press release. Further explanation is given in the tutorial “how to manage and create press

releases”.

You can click distribution lists at the top of the screen or at the left vertical bar. The screen that appears or the menu that gives you more options provide you the possibility to click “create new list”.

On this screen you can filter the journalists in order to make a distribution list to which you can send your press release. Further explanation is given in the tutorial “how to manage and create distribution lists”.

If you have some journalist- and bloggers-contacts you want to include in your distribution list, you can import them by clicking “import own journalists”. Further explanation is given in the tutorial “how to manage and

create distribution lists”.

Buy credits. One credit stands for one press release sent to one journalist. In this particular case, the client has a starters package of €99,-, which comes with 200 credits. If you need more, you have two options: buy an annual

subscription of €2,450.- which comes with 10,000 credits (any more credits you can buy at €0,25 per credit) or you can buy additional credits per instance at €0,35 per credit.

For any purchase you make with the Africa Press List, you will get an EU Value Added Tax compliant invoice.

Edit your profile as a client, by clicking the “profile” button at the top right. Here you can edit or complete your company details.

As an agency (a selection you have made when registering), you may have one or more client companies that you work for. When you create a press release, you can send it on behalf a company by adding company details in the footer.

Moreover, you will be able to create an overview of which press releases has been sent to which client.

Change email. Click the button “Change email” at the top right. First fill in your current email, then the new one, your current password, click validate and your will receive an email to validate the change of your email-

address.

Change password. Click the button “Change Password” at the top right. First fill in your current password, then the new one, and the same again for verification of your entry, click “Change password” and your password has

been changed.
