Level III Classes

Level 1 courses are targeted towards those who are new to the Army itself and/or the lifestyle or interested in updating personal skills or basic

knowledge of the army.

Classes include the following:• Expectations and impact of the mission

on Family life• Military acronyms & terms• The chain of command• Introduction to military customs &

courtesies• Basic military benefits & entitlements• Introduction to military & civilian community resources• Introduction to Family Readiness

Groups (FRGs)• Supporting your child’s education• Introduction to Family financial readiness• Basic problem solving

10 Hours of instruction given over 2 days 15 Hours of instruction given over 3 days 15 Hours of instruction given over 3 days

Child care for classes may be available through CYSS. Call 253-966-2490/2491

for reservations.

Level 2 courses provide personal development and encourages emerging leadership from within the Army community, as well as learning how to cope

with challenging situations.

Classes include the following:• Communications• Personal time management• Stress management• Acknowledging change• Exploring personality traits• Enhancing personal relationships• Team dynamics• Personal conflict management• Creative problem solving• Traditions, customs, courtesies & protocol• Crisis, coping and grieving• The volunteer experience• Family readiness groups & development• Introduction to leadership

Level 3 courses offer training to enhance the professional growth and leadership development opportunities of family members, especially those who might assume advisory and mentoring roles

within the unit and community.

Classes include the following:• Communication Skills For Leaders• Understanding Needs• Leadership Style• Building Cohesive Teams• Managing Group Conflict• Leader Assisted Problem Solving• Delegation For Leaders• MeetingManagement• CoachingAndMentoring• FamilyReadinessGroupLeadership
