March 6th through April 3rd
Lenten Bible Study
“Embracing the Uncertain”
Meal: 6:00-6:40 P.M.
Lenten Series: 6:40-7:15 P.M.
The first Wednesday dinner will be March 6th and
will begin at 6:00 PM. Following the meal
together, we will have an Ash Wednesday Service at
6:45 P.M. in the Sanctuary. The rest of the study
series will be held in the Christian Education
Building following the Wednesday meal. The Wonderful Wednesday Study Series topic will
be, “Embracing the Uncertain”
by Magrey R. deVega. Study Description: Just turning on the news shows
us that we live in uncertain times. Economic insta-
bilities, eruptions of violence, and natural catastro-
phes can alter the lives and landscapes of entire
communities. Our individual lives can be just as un-
steady and uncertain as our plans get altered and
challenge comes to our health and in our relation-
ships. Most of us, if not all, prefer stability and a
predictable future instead of uncertainty. In our
Lenten study we will explore stories from the Gos-
pels of Jesus which point to a world filled with un-
certainty, yet at the same time, pointing to how fol-
lowing Jesus brings us courage and hope. Please remember to invite your friends, family, and
neighbors to join you. Your first-time guest’s meal is
complimentary. While the Wonderful Wednesday
study series and dinners end on Wednesday, April
3rd, we will still gather for worship during Holy
