Installation

1. Install the following to the DPF assembly:a. Lower band clampb. Bracket

Note: Ensure correct alignment of the bracket lower support foot with the notch located on thebottom of the mufer assembly. The bracket ts correctly at only one location.

2. Tighten the band clamp fasteners to the torque of 20 ± 4 lb-ft (27 ± 5 Nm).

3. Place the DPF assembly (with the installed lower bracket) on a at level transmission jack and roll the jack below the chassis.

4. Lift the DPF assembly with the transmission jack and put the lower bracket in alignment with the chassis frame bracket.

5. Tighten the fasteners to the torque of the 35 ± 6 lb-ft (48 ± 8 Nm) to secure the DPF bracket to the chassis frame bracket and then remove the transmission jack.

6. Install the upper band clamp supporting the DPF on the frame upper mounting bracket and tighten the band clamp fasteners to the torque of 20 ± 4 lb-ft (27 ± 5 Nm).

7. Install the lower exhaust V-band clamp connecting the exhaust pipe and the DPF outlet module and tighten the clamp fastener to the torque of 62 ± 18 lb-in (7 ± 2 Nm).Note: Check for galled threads or deformed clamping surfaces on the clamps. Replace as necessary.
