What you should tell the victim. You are not responsible for a bully’s behavior.

Don’t respond to bullies by giving in, getting upset, or fighting back—this will encourage them.

Sometimes the best response is no response—just walk away.

Your involvement makes a difference.

Stand up for the person being bullied.

Don’t join in.

Help the victim walk away.

Encourage other bystanders to help the victim.

Get help from a trusted adult.

You can Stop Bullying

Do NOT Bully

Tell an adult parent, relative, neighbor librarian, pastor or friend

Get 2 or 3 friends/bystanders to tell the bully to stop

If you can, walk over to the victim and just STAND with him or her.
