• The Opening Ceremony and Parade of Nations will
take place on Friday, 24th at 19:00 at the Venue.

• Bike check (Bike mechanic available)

• Helmet check
• Timing chip delivery, to be worn on the athletes’
ankle. Athletes will pick up the timing chips before
the competition, during their check-in procedure.
• To add any equipment to the bike, you must obtain
approval from the Race Referee up until 10
minutes after the end of the Athletes‘ Briefing.

• The start can be given any time after the TD
announces ”On your mark”

Advice of Penalties
• How do you know if you need to
serve a penalty?
The official will do the following –
•Sound a whistle or horn
•Show a BLUE (FOR
DRAFT) CARD
•Call your number
•Advise you of the PENALTY
• If you are shown a RED CARD,
you may be disqualified
Penalties
•Stop in the next Penalty Box and must stay there
for 1 minute for sprint distance/ 2 minutes for
standard distance
•It is the athletes responsibility to stop in the next
Penalty Box. Failing to do this will result in
disqualification.
•A second drafting offence will lead to a
disqualification

Medical Procedures
• Only LOC Medical Staff area allowed in the medical
area.
• The NF accredited doctor is allowed in the medical
area only when an athlete from their country is in the
area.
Results
• Results will be uploaded live at the ITU official
website www.triathlon.org.
• Also live coverage of the race will be displayed
through the web page.
• All the Results information will be posted and
distributed to the Team Leaders at the Information
Centre and Recovery Area.
PROTEST & APPEALS
• Standard procedures will be followed according to the
ITU Competition Rules.
