3.35 Licensed Personnel Benefits 8.1A Classified Wage & Salary Schedule – General Provision Applicable To All Classified Personnel
3.35— LICENSED PERSONNEL BENEFITS GENERAL PROVISIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL CERTIFIED PERSONNEL: As fringe benefits of employment, the District purchases the following insurance policies, subject to cancellation, rate changes, and the specific terms and conditions applicable to individual contracted employees set forth in the policy documents:
USAble long-term disability insurance coverage paying up to 60% of salary and costing .34% of salary through age 69.
USAble accidental death and dismemberment insurance paying $15,000 and costing $.45 per month and USAble life insurance coverage paying $15,000 and costing $2.10 per month through age 64, $1.66 for employees through age 69. Benefits reduce 35% at age 65.
At the employee's option, a monthly premium contribution equal to the cost of an individual dental insurance plan offered by the District.
Worker's compensation for employment-related illnesses and injuries, costing the district $.40 per $100 salary.
Upon retirement all full time employees who are contracted to work a minimum of 6 hours per day or more per contract shall be compensated for unused sick leave at $30.00 $75.00 per day.
Should the employee decease while under contract, their estate shall be compensated for unused sick leave at the rate of $30.00 $75.00 per day.
The district will pay employees for unused sick leave over 90 days at the end of each school year at the rate of $30.00 $75.00 per day.
However, the Board of Education reserves the right to cancel any and all fringe benefits during any contract year.
