Welcome to the PMI Certified Associate in Project Management

(PMI-ACP) ®study facilitation workshop by Edifyself.

The objectives of the course are to introduce students to the concepts of Agile, its

benefits and its value when introduced in organizations.

Through this course, participants would become versed in applying their knowledge in

real-world project management and agile environment and would also be prepared for

the PMI-ACP certification exam

How is Agile valuable in organizations?

Agile implemented in an organization helps in adapting to changing business needs.

This gives the organization more flexibility to add, change or remove requirements. It

also results in incremental delivery and reduces product and process waste. Agile offers

high visibility and control over the project progress thereby enabling early detection of

problems. Also the early and continuous customer feedback improves communication

and empowers business owners to review critical information. Agile also leads to early

measureable return on investment (ROI).

Who is eligible for the course?

Students aiming for the PMI-ACP certification should combine a mixture of formal education along with

general project management, agile experience and training in agile practices. The eligibility requirements are:

Participants should possess a secondary diploma which could be high school diploma, associate’s degree or

global equivalent.

2,000 hours or 12 months of working experience on project teams is required. This experience must be earned

in the last 5 years. PMP® and/or PgMP® credential holders will be accepted as fulfilling the general project

experience requirements.

1,500 hours or 8 months of working experience on project teams using agile methodologies is required. This

experience must be earned in the last 3 years.

21 contact hours of training in agile practices is required. The Hours must be earned in agile practices.

OVERVIEW OF THE QUESTION PERCENTAGE DISTRIBUTION IN PMI-ACP EXAM

The PMI-ACP examination contains questions from 7 domains. Following are the percentage of

questions from each domain:

Domain I -Agile Principles and Mindset covers 16% of the questions.

Domain II -Value-driven Delivery covers 20% of the questions.

Domain III -Stakeholder Engagement covers 17% of the questions.

Domain IV -Team Performance covers 16% of the questions.

Domain V-Adaptive Planning covers 12% of the questions.

Domain VI-Problem Detection and Resolution covers 10% of the questions.

Domain VII-Continuous Improvement in product, process, and people covers 9% of the questions.

PMI-ACP Exam - Details

• Closed book exam with multiple-choice format

• Duration of the exam is three hours

• 120 questions and for each question you need to choose the

correct option from 4 choices offered

• Out of the 120 questions only 100 counted for scores, 20

questions are pre-test and not counted for scoring

DETAILS OF THE PMI-ACP EXAM

Let us look into the details of how a PMI-ACP examination is conducted:

The PMI-ACP exam is scheduled for 3 hours and consists of 120 Multiple Choice Questions or MCQs.

The exam is a closed book format.

1 of the possible answer out of the 4 choices has to be chosen.

Of the 120 questions, only 100 questions are scored. 20 questions are called as Pre-test Qs and are not

counted for scoring.

Our PMI certified ACP workshop will help participants to score well in the ACP exam without any worries

when followed in the right manner.
