TRACK and FIELD ○ The varsity girls track team finished 5th at the highly competitive Edgewood Relays on Wednesday. The
Mules were led by medalists Amara Hawkins‑Quinones (1st in 400m dash and 800m run), Sophia Carroll (3rd in 1600m run), and Alina Borawski (2nd in pole vault). The track teams will be back in action after the break at Mule Relays on March 21st.
BASEBALL ○ Defeated Jefferson 12‑2
■ The Mule bats came out on fire as the team run‑ruled Jefferson in the first District game of the year. Don Flannery had a home run and 5 RBI. Matthew Rendon picked up the complete game win.
○ Defeated Brackenridge 11‑5 ■ The Mules moved into sole possession of first place with an 11‑5 win over Brack. Angel Tijerina
picked up the win in relief. Zach Janes has a critical sacrifice bunt and Hayden Flume tied the game with an RBI in the 6th. Garrett Whitaker, Bo DeWees, and Cole Crosby had multiple hits for the Mules.
○ Defeated Highlands 6‑2 ■ Matthew Rendon picked up the win and Jackson Veale the save as the Mules moved to 2‑0 in
District play. Garrett Whitaker had 3 hits. ○ Defeated Houston Lamar 7‑6
■ The Mules picked up a huge win over 6A Houston Lamar. Walter Evans got the win on the mound and Hunter Campbell had the game winning RBI. It was the team’s 3rd straight win and second walk‑off win in two days.
SOFTBALL ○ Lost to HIghlands 17‑0
■ The Alamo Heights Mules lost to Highlands Tuesday ‑ 0‑17. Sophia Batiz led the Mules with one hit in one at bat. The Mules play Brackenridge at home this Friday.
○ Defeated Brackenridge 16‑1 ■ Alamo Heights Mules Varsity won big over Brackenridge 16‑1 on Friday! Alamo Heights opened up
scoring in the first inning. The Mules continued in the 4th inning scoring six runs. Sophia Batiz, Lilly Gnam, Madelyn Peters, and Leslie Moreno all drove in runs. Katelyn Richter got the win in the circle pitching four innings, allowing three hits, and striking out three. The Mules racked up 11 hits. Moreno, Gnam, Faith Holzhausen, and Peters all had multiple hits.
○ Defeated Burbank 7‑3 ■ Alamo Heights Varsity took home a 7‑3 victory over Burbank on Wednesday. Katelyn Richter was
credited with the victory for the Mules completing the game with 12 strikeouts. Olivia Laws, Destiny

○ Lost to Edison 9‑8
■ Alamo Heights Varsity lost 8‑9 to Edison. The Mules fell behind by four runs in the first inning, but then tried to fight back scoring six runs late in the game: Sophia Batiz had a single in the fifth and Leslie Moreno had a double in the seventh. Destiny Bullis led the Mules with two hits in five at bats.
GIRLS SOCCER
○ Defeated Jefferson 7‑0
■ It was a special night to honor the Seniors. Sisters, Emma Gillespie, and Lauren Gillespie got to play in their first high school soccer game together. They both tallied their first goals of the season. The Seniors showed great heart in their Senior Night shut out win. BOYS SOCCER
○ Defeated Edison 6‑2
■ Mules extended their winning streak to 6 with tonight’s victory. The Mules took a 3‑0 lead early but Edison rallied and scored two goals off of defensive miscues. The Mules battled hard the 2nd half and tallied 3 more goals to earn the victory. Jr. Morgan Smith lead all scores with a hat trick. He has broken into the AH Boys soccer record books for top ten single season goals. With one more he will break into the top 5. With three more games pending , and playoff games he could very well be one of the top three.
○ Defeated Jefferson 3‑2
■ The Mules came out red hot and blanked Jefferson 3‑0 in the 1st half with the first goal coming in the 1st 30 seconds. Jefferson turned on the heat the second half scoring 2 unanswered goals to come within 1 but the Mules held strong and came out with the win to remain in contention for 1st place in district. Congratulations to Junior Morgan Smith who is now in the AH boys soccer records books. His goal this evening put him in the top 5 single season goal scorers with 25 goals.
TENNIS
○ Varsity tennis team placed 3rd in team standings. Brianna Wilbur placed 2nd in Girls Singles. BOYS BASKETBALL

● Orchestra ‑ Congratulations to the Orchestra program for their success at the UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest. The Combined Orchestra earned a Superior rating in Sightreading and the Philharmonic and Chamber Orchestras each earned a Sweepstakes Award for Superior Ratings in both Concert and Sightreading. Bravo!

three transcripts are free, then the cost is $3 for each additional request. All balances must be paid before you can get your graduation tickets or diploma in May. In the spring, we host a much smaller fair (around 30 colleges/programs). The spring college fair focuses more on students in grades 9‑11, with a heavy emphasis on juniors. That being said, ALL grades are welcome. SENIORS are also encouraged to visit if they have questions about orientation/housing, or to just say Hello and/or Thank You to a college rep who may have been especially helpful.
