Motivation letter

Dear BSSS members,

I'm Ahmed Magdy, student in 4th year. I have been in BSSS more than two year. I am working in SCOME since I enter BSSS.

I am running for this position because I would like to be part of amazing organization that show and teach me a lot. In BSSS, I had many friends and experience that I am proud to have.

Throw it; I have seen too many places. I want to make a different and help in development of BSSS specially SCOME.

Throw SCOME, I want to help every member, my faculty and other colleagues in their future and drawing their way in life. I want to help in changing our education and having Accreditation. I want to have role in all of this.

I made my plan of action throw my experience in SCOME and tried to cover every point, so I hope to reach all members expectations.

My strategy “Strong SCOME Team, Strong SCOME”

My plan has three categories:

A-SCOME team B-Local projects C-National aspectD-Management

A-SCOME Team:

Our BSSS SCOME team has low number now time so my plane for the team:

1. Increase number of SCOME member 2. Increase number of SCOME full member 3. Make monthly training for SCOME member include :

(IFMSA orientation – preparing official paper – making proposal –presentation)4. Keep all member of SCOME in contact with national SCOME team 5. Preparing them to be national coordinator

Finally about this category of my plan I want to build a strong SCOME team

B-local projects:

Data for everyone The idea of this project comes from that many medical students looking for data about their subjects which they study.It is project about collecting data for each year of our faculty consists of audio files for famous doctors to study through it and practical videos.

The data will available through two way:

1- uploading data on internet and publish it through our website and our page

2- giving data to anyone through laptop in our BSSS room

First aid This project is one of the important of local project. The next time for it will be in January The project has a good reputation in our faculty and I have participated

in it many times.

1- I will see the evaluation of all participates to more development 2- Decrease the number of student in skill lab to give every one enough

time to learn 3- Make booklet contain data about first aid 4- Change doctors according to evaluation result 5- Make restricted number in registration to give enough time and care

Article competition It is competition about writing article about any scientific subject.The articles will judged by comity of doctors regard the conditions and degrees

There will be three winners:1- The first place will have financial prize and certificate2- The second place will have financial prize and certificate 3- The third place will have certificate 4- The winning article will publish in BSSS magazine

Scientific research conference This project will be consist of:

1- competition of research and the contenders will make presentation in conference

2- The winners will judged according to their research and presentation

3- The conference will contain session presented by specialized doctor about research

Research workshop It will be workshop contain session about:

1- how to make research and paper 2- It will contain training about side of research 3- The speaker will talk about their experience and how to

publish your research

SCOME wall magazine It will monthly magazine and it will be hanged in the faculty hall It will contain:

1- There will be competition every month and the winner will announce in the magazine

2- It will publish online also.3- Information about BSSS and IFMSA

Quality and accreditation : It one of the important issue in our faculty.It is one of many important things to contact and participate in the quality.Throw SCOME, I will increase student understanding and help to change our education. This is one of main mission of SCOME.

The method:1- attendance of meeting of quality 2- awareness campaign among the student

C-National view My main point in this category is level up BSSS in IFMSA-EGYPTIt will be throw:

1. making all national projects 2. respect the deadlines 3. attend every SCOME national event 4. involved in national teams 5. have a decent delegation in national event 6. make BSSS member in contact with national member 7. prepare every member of SCOME to have nation role

D-Management1. Make every project has local coordinator and co-coordinator( new

member to help new member to deal and learn how to work 2. make evaluation after every project to avoid any Neglect and change

for better 3. preparation for every project before it with enough time 4. make enough publication to any event before it with enough time 5. motivation of all member to give their best effort
