Artificial Inteligence

Page 2: Ai

The history of Artifitial inteligence

Page 3: Ai

What is Ai?

*Inteligence exhibited by an artificial entity.

*A system that percives and environment and takes actions that maximizze its chances of success based on information given by a programmer.

*It is siece and engineering of making intelligent machines, softweare, games and toys.

Imporant people in the early study of

Ai

Alan Turing-Father of modern computer science

-Concept of the algorith

-In mathematics, an algorithm is definite list of well-defined instructions for completing a task that wull proceed through a serises of consecutive states, eventually terminating in an end-state

John McCarthy-Professor of Computer Science at Stanford Universtiy

-Coined the term of Ai in 1955

-His reasearch area has been the formalization of common sense knowledge

What is Artificial Inteligence?

Page 6: Ai

What is artificial intelligence?

-Defined as, ”The study of intelligent behaviour and the attempt to find ways in wich such behaviour could be engineerd in any type of artifact.”

Basically, ”puttung human intelligence into a machine”

Page 7: Ai

The Problem

-Human itelligence is currently not fully understood

-There is no method of deterining when and how much machine is actually intelligent

Page 8: Ai

-AI’s definiton leads to divisions what AI refers to

-Two General Types:

-Weak AI -Strong AI

The Divisons

Page 9: Ai

Weak AI-Weak AI refers to AI that ony simulates human thoughts and actions

-Actions, decisions, and ideas are progammed into it

-All current forms of AI are Weak AI

Page 10: Ai

Strong AI-Strong AI refers to AI that matcher or exceeds human intelligence

-Example: The robtos form the movies Matrix, Terminator, I Robot, etc.

-Also called „True AI”, as they are truly intetligen

-They don’t just simulate humans, they are intelligent on their own

The Future of artificial

inteligence

Jobs/Work-Eaven now we have Robots taking over jobs

-Right now Japan uses about 320 robots oaf all sorts fer 10,000 employees, while Germany uses 148 robots per 10,000 employees, Italy 146 and United state between 50 and 80 per 10,000 employees

Page 14: Ai

The Distant Future-A.I. And Robots are running 40 years behing computers, said Dr. Harevey

-Although they are far behind it will only be a matter of time before they become as regular as cell phone are in your everyday life.

AI is everywhere-In fact, artificial intelligence already inhabits our lives

-Fuel injection systems in our care use learning algorithms, which are both example of AI, says Dr Rodney Brooks, the direcor of MIT’s artificial intelligence laboratory.

The Artificial World We Live In-A article written by Dough Yurchey

-”The Universe is unreal. Life is unreal. Nature is not natural. Do we really live in The Matrix?”
